This is weird. Libertarians are normally rabidly pro second amendment supporters. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who claims to have libertarian leanings that wasn’t even more forceful about it than GOA. The problem is that this idiot and people like him write our laws. My standard question to libs frothing at the mouth over this is what do you think would happen if we placed all automobile legislation, safety standards, etc, in the hands of people who hate cars, know nothing about them, think they know everything about them, and don't want anyone ever to own one? It'd be pretty bad legislation, right?

It isn't what they don't know, it's what they think they know that's wrong.
