Naive sentimentalists want to believe Islam was, once, a religion of peace. It never was. It has always relied on the subjugation and extermination of Christians and Jews to perpetuate itself.
Islam is explicitly NOT a religion. It is a political system based on clan and oligarchy. It is xenophobic in the extreme. There is no motivation in Islam for harmonious relations with non Muslim nations. At it root Islam is a totalitarian cabal bent on the destruction of itself and all else.

I liked the rest of the article, but this first statement is ridiculous, and naive.
What the author is asking is for the Muslim heretics, slackers, and Infidel collaborators to alter the religion to be more palatable to themselves and us Kafirs.
That altering and innovations of the religion in the 1700s is exactly why Muhammad Wahhab killed so many phony Muslims including Muslim slackers directly descended from Muhammad and his companions.
Islam is too straight forward and well documented a religion to change. And Muhammad sets the examples on how to implement it.

Think about Sodom and Gomorrah as there was more to it than we were led to believe.
