You do know tons of canadians came down here to get healthcare in a timely manner they could not get in canada because allotments of whatever were used up for the year. Healthcare rationing and quotas.
Lots of people die in the uk and canada waiting for things we do not. Of course in these systems this is part of the goal of the systems.

Medicare is similar...doctors are opting out if Medicare which you are eventually forced on...and you can’t pay them outside the Medicare system if you have the $$$

If Obamacare is such a success as Hussein keeps saying why would we need a public option?
To: Kenny
Will this be another Obamacare where they shove it down our throats?
I would guess another EO and ignoring of the law by this tyrannical DICKTATOR is forthcoming.

That’s a great gig you got there, Bath House.
Screw up in medical insurance market and then ride to the rescue on your .gov white horse to save the day. The US voters are too stupid to figure this out.
But then again, why don’t you just decree it done, like everything else you do?

Insurance is NOT healthcare. That is provide by... uh... providers - doctors.
Is the government going to start a med school for its own employees?

"We are the only county in western civilization that does not have a government run health care system."
SO WHAT?!?
We are just about the only country in the western civilization that still allows private gun ownership. Do you propose we abandon the 2nd Amendment as well?
We aren't Canada. We aren't Britain. We aren't Australia. If you like what these other "western civilizations" offer, you are FREE to move there and enjoy their "benefits".
We, well some of us, enjoy our FREEDOMS. And I don't think I should be subsidizing the bad decisions of millions of Americans who are dare-devils or drug users or high-risk-sex-addicts or anything else. I should only be responsible for me and MY decisions and the results of MY decisions.

When I have been asked that in the past, my response has been that it must be nice to be able to afford sub-par public healthcare because your neighbor to the south pays for your defense and all of the r&d on prescription drugs. Even so, their tax rate is unacceptable.
I am not trying to flame you, because I think it was an honest question and I think these boards feel too much like an echo chamber lately, but that said, I for one don’t care much what the rest of the countries in the world are doing. As far as I can see, most are failing socially, politically, and economically.
Just my thoughts.

A Public Option is a great idea. No experience necessary, no education required and you too can apply to be a heart surgeon.
Fewer Doctors, more government agents. Full employment is coming.
Instead I will apply to be a government Dentist. I have experience working with pliers. Woo Hoo!

They’ll subsidize the hell out of the Public Option and make the premiums SO much cheaper than the other insurers they’ll all be out of business in two, three years tops.

So, it's just like MedExpress. We have that here too. Did a dandy job stitching my hand back up and it actually did not cost too much.
To: Pride in the USA
Yes, it was. Socialized medicine for all!
