My idea of a “public option” would be a good caning once a week for those involved in setting up Obamacare until such time as they get rid of it.

Mark Levin was right. He’s going for the Full Mussolini between now and January.

The only shock is the timing right before the election. All but the dimmest bulbs among us understand ObaMaoCare, as currently constituted is FUBAR. We all knew it was designed to fail.

a government run health insurance program......
Sure, since the Feds have done such a great job with the Post Office and the VA, let give ‘em the Whole Enchilada to run.

Rather, there should be an option for the public, i.e. a free market.
To: lonevoice
This was always the plan.

I call for a ‘public option’ for attorneys. Everyone should have access to a ‘free’ lawyer. Everyone. It's a ‘right’! Unless the attorneys all want to publicly admit that what they do isn't as important as being a physician, and therefore not worthy of being a ‘right’. Walmart and all the big ‘box’ stores should have cut-rate lawyers available for walk-in consultation - for a nominal fee.

Nope, we will all just pay more because it will be like medicare or Medicaid.....so they will just add the bill to our payroll taxes

Not really. Don’t be surprised if the lame duck session of Congress after the election gives Obama “immigration reform”, gun restrictions, his Supreme Court justice, a carbon tax, and a single payer healthcare system. The GOP Congress teams up with the Dems to either suck up to Hillary as she is inaugurated or to diss Trump before he takes office.

I thought there already was such a thing for anyone below certain income levels signing up for Obamacare... they get free insurance, subsidized by someone.
To: PROCON
when it comes right down to it and all other scoundrels aside who rammed this down the American’s throats, we can all thank Chief Justice John Roberts for pissing on his oath and our Constitution and taking it upon himself to personally change the ACA law from the bench. How much more?

It will be like Colorado’s amendment 69, so yes. Given there has been nothing put forth by the health industry in Colorado, it will likely pass because everyone sees the writing on the wall for obamacare exchanges.
