It's necessary for academics to have this viewpoint, that there is a "vast racist conspiracy" keeping blacks down.
Because any other explanation for persistent black under-performance, which touched upon deficiencies among blacks and their culture, is too uncomfortable for good leftists to consider.

The reason I ask is I think it's wrong; or Mac Donald didn't mean it this way.
It makes more contextual sense if she said:
...everybody protests when a cop shoots someone.
Because honestly, not everyone even cares when a cop gets shot. In fact, some are happy about it, even if they don't say so publically. (Mr. pResident, can you hear me now?)
But EVERY time a cop shoots a black person, no matter how justified, these protestors come out of the woodwork like termites fleeing the Orkin man.
It’s all about lying. They do it well. They play politics 24/7 we don’t.

Heather McDonald takes an issue and does intense, honest analysis of it. She was spot on on the illegal immigration issue too. She used to be on the shows re:illegal immigration and how it hurts America all the time.
When she speaks I listen. She knows her stuff inside and out.
