JFTR: Sturgeon’s official title is “First Minister”, but the functions are supposed to be as a Prime Minister FWICS.
The EU doesn’t want another piglet sucking energy from the Mom?
But they didn’t want Britain to go, though.
When an enemy sends mixed messages, beware.
Who would have guessed, after the excesses of WW II and the Cold War, that WW III would be fought with cookies and teacups, hankies and snuff?
EU acting like children.
How much is Scotland willing to spend to be a member of the EU?
They are probably Anglophobes at heart.
Follow the ca$hflow....
God how childish. This simply proves the correctness of the decision.
Just giving her a taste of the “Boot On The Neck” for when she drags Scotland out of the UK and into the 4th Reich
So nationalist Scots want their “independence” from the UK, but want to remain part of, and under the control of, the proto-fascist, monster bureaucracy that is the EU.
Talk about stupidity....
Britain was a maker, Scotland was a taker.
OTOH it could be really shrewd business wise. If Scotland split from Britain and remained in the EU, she could then have free trade with the EU and also trade with Britain. British goods destined for the EU could simply be routed through Scotland and Vice versa. She’d make a fortune.
Scotland wants money.... they are not looking to pay. They get a net inflow of funds being part of the UK.
She must not have gotten the memo that Herr Angela isn’t in a welfare-doling mood these days.
The last thing the EU wants is to admit another pauper nation with its hand out and whose main export would be Haggis and red-headed drug addicts.
Not true. They are fine with that so long as there is strategic value. The last thing socialists worry about is so-called pauper nations, so long as there are some sort of resources to exploit.
Italy, Spain and Belgium have major separatist movements. France also has several smaller separatist movements, some shared with Spain.
These countries have no interest in setting a precedent of easy access to the EU for their own separatists.
“so long as there are some sort of resources to exploit.”
Haggis?
