It will be interesting to see how this goes down....
I am assuming he must have some polling that show’s he has a shot, which to me is just incredulous.

The current polling I saw has him up against both democratic opponents and doing better than the other GOP candidates for the seat.
To: detective
But he's not running as a Republican. He's joined this party instead:

I hope he loses. He should have stayed on path of retirement. He was so rejected, now nothing more than an embarrassment.

Running for president gives one a pretty high name recognition. In our current celebrity culture that means a lot

I hope he loses.I'm a Floridian who has been eminently unhappy with Rubio, but it's not that simple.
If Trump wins and Rubio wins, Rubio may or may not fight Trump's agenda. If Trump wins and Grayson or Murphy win, either will immediately glom on to Reid/Durbin and fight Trump's agenda, and they will have all of the FL MSM on their side, including and especially the local FOX affiliates, Politifacts, and the local cable channel news (Bay News 9, Orlando 13, etc.). I think we have to play the percentages here, hold our nose and give Rubio the seat, since there is no one who is running and is more conservative (or less liberal).
P.S. If Hillary! wins, none of this matters, so let Rubio have the seat, and let's concentrate on keeping HRC out of the WH.

The Florida senator's decision came amid GOP concerns that its control of the Senate was in danger in November. Little Marco would be unable to find an alternative job which paid nearly as well. There. Fixed it.

Dump the Gang of 8. Mister Rubio's comment on the bill he and the "Gang of Eight" created...
(with a straight face, no less)...
"This is not amnesty!"
Nonsense, of course. As if a "pathway for citizenship" for illegal aliens was something other than amnesty.
This person deserves a pathway FROM the senate; hopefully Florida voters are smarter than Rubio thinks they are.

He was supposed to be on the inside track for the Florida governor’s race in 2018. Wonder what went wrong?

What difference does it make??????We know Grayson will vote against Trump's SCOTUS. Rubio will vote for his nominees. That's the difference.
