“Yeah, rimless .380 won’t work in a .38.”

Would have been a different story with a 32ACP in a 32 S&W long, though.

Actually, that's what my dad had loaded in his bedside gun for ten years or so.

I got a call from my sister asking me to see what was wrong with the gun when she took it out to the range and it wouldn't fire ;o)

Well, no Terry Frost IV

He was 20 years old, he could have several, by several different mommas.

“The “rimless” 380 is held in the chamber by the rim of the case where the bullet is seated. This is how the rimless 45ACP round is positioned in a 1911auto.”

Actually the .380ACP and .45ACP are head-spaced on the case mouth, not the rim. Just my $.02 worth...

Oops, sorry. You described it correctly as the bullet end (mouth) of the case. Need coffee. Have a great Memorial Day.

It makes me wonder is this is why they have kids.. Hoping for a big payday when their spawn do something stupid and end up dead.

I agree. The lip of the case is what positions the case in the chamber.

It was getting late last night and I was trying to find the right words to describe the end of the case opposite of the end where the primer is.
That is the end where the bullet is seated.
