I actually think Romney would have been a better than average president, certainly better than this thing we have now. Too bad he was less interested in winning than the people who voted for him or may have voted for him.

Romney didnt want to win. He refused to attack Obama like he destroyed the other republican candidates. He was blinded by Obamas impervious suit of melanin armor. Both he and McCain practically said they endorse Obama for president.
Deep down, I think Romney at first wanted to win. But when he realized that he had to work for it, he lost interest.

It is risky for Republicans to rely on the tech business. It is progressive/demonrat all the way. I suspect Romney’s program was designed to crash on election day.
Romney did come off looking like a robot. He was afraid of who he is - a Mormon. Weird.

One key takeaway was Newsom’s number if 329,000 whites staying home in OH.
This is the first actual evidence I have seen of Rush Limbaugh’s claim that “4 million conservatives stayed home in 2012,” and would easily be 4 million. Bet 4 million don’t stay home for Trump.

Great post LS. I swore at the time there was no way we would lose Ohio. But Romney caved on Benghazi and I was dumbstruck. It was a winner issue. If a chunk of Ohioans not just stayed home but bad-mouthed him, too, then that kind of whisper campaign can spread fast.
Bottom line for me is that Romney was a lousy general.
