The article is more about the reaction to Mr. Wilcox's argument for marriage. I am not a half believer in the benefits. Mr. Wolcox commits a correlation is causation error. Women given their tendency towards hypergamy will only marry men who have the characteristics that are associated with higher socioeconomic status or already achieve higher socioeconomic status. Therefore, marriage is more a signal than a reason. I do not support people like Mr. Wilcox who blame men for not "manning up" for the decline in marriage. It is a two way street or as Spengler’s Universal Law of Gender Parity states:
“In every corner of the world and in every epoch of history, the men and women of every culture deserve each other. ”
