Earlier this week, the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan, Gen. David Petraeus, warned that the plan "could cause significant problems" for American troops overseas.
In an interview airing later Wednesday on “NBC Nightly News,” Gen. David Petraeus warned that video of the demonstration would be a propaganda gift for anti-U.S. “extremists.”
“We’re concerned that the images from the burning of a Quran would be used in the same way that extremists used images from Abu Ghraib — that they would in a sense be indelible,” Petraeus told NBC’s Brian Williams. “They would be used by those who wish us ill, to incite violence and to enflame public opinion against us and against our mission here in Afghanistan, as well as our missions undoubtedly around the world.”

IMO your statement says it all. Muslims are not afraid to go to the wall to obtain their objective. Neither are the LGBT, the greenies, the BLM, name any liberal group. They follow their leaders. Conservatives exhibit some of the same traits. We keep electing the same people, believe the same lies and see the same results.

Muslims are indoctrinated from birth that theirs is the One and Only True Right Way, and that all other people are secretly Muslim, they just do not yet know it. When encountering a non-Muslim for the first time, that person is asked a question - will you turn Muslim like us? Apparently, if the answer is “yes”, then the whole ideology of what it is to be a Muslim applies, including the adoption of something called Shari’ah Law, a law code which is completely antithetical to just about every other law code in the civilized world. There is great emphasis on “honor”, keeping the purity of the religious practices, and frequent or extensive infractions of these sometimes very arcane rules is cause for stern rebuke or worse from the authorities known as ayatollahs, caliphs, mufti, or imams, a sort of anointed class within the Muslim community, whose function is to interpret and apply the strictures as set forth in an otherwise obscure set of rules in a tome known as the Koran. The Koran is held in almost superstitious awe by all Muslims, and together with the various interpretations of the Koran, called the Hadith, constitute the body of Shari’ah law.
For those who do not declare and subscribe to the whole Muslim ideology, there are exceptions made for adherence to a different deity, so long as they are willing to subjugate the authority of their deity to the greater power of Allah, a supernatural being of whom the antecedents are rather obscure, but may have been rendered as possibly Ba’al, or possibly as part of a dual deity known as Mazda Ahura/Ahriman, a good/evil representation. There are claims that the deity is supposed to be the same as the deity revered by the Jewish people, variously known as Jehovah, or JWHW, or simply the great I AM. However, great inconsistencies in this comparison appear all over the Koran, where the deity is supposed to suggest that all Jews and Christians be killed, or driven out of the land. Upon subordinating the deity in which a non-Muslim claims allegiance, the non-Muslim may then live as a vassal to the hierarchy of Islamic authorities, called upon to pay an annual tax to the authorities, known as jizya. Failure to pay, or to pay sufficient respect to the deity Allah, is grounds for severe punishment or even execution.
A third “choice” is set aside for those who would neither convert to Islam, nor allow their deity to be subordinated to Allah, and that is execution, often right on the spot, or the person is hunted down and slaughtered.

The fact is the vast majority of Muslims do not agree with the basic points of our society, and we must continue exposing this, while we are still in the majority.
There is a reason generals work for politicians in our system. Patraeus is doing a good job of showing us that reason.
