“I don’t know what Mitt Romney is doing. I really don’t.” said Ingraham. “I mean, I guess at this point, he’s in it to help Hillary because I don’t know why he would make that point”

“he’s in it to help Hillary”
~~~~~~~~~~~
Same point can be applied to Rush Limbaugh, who still refers to “you Trump supporters”.
And, Lyin Paul Ryan, and all of the other RINO’s who are proving they’d rather see Hellary elected, over Trump, to keep the DC/establishment Gravy Train rolling.
Romney should go away.
I don’t get this obsession with tax returns.
Is he trying to make sure that Trump is paying his “fair share”?
Sounds like a commie/socialist obsession to me.
I don’t disagree with your scenario, but my take is that the #neverTrumpers want one of their own to run on the Libertarian ticket. They think they can prevail in the House of Reps if they can keep Hillary from getting a majority of electoral college votes.
Ana Navarro has the same opinion, Trump's tax returns are irrelevant.
I agree with Donald Trump on this. I think voters don't care about this. The evidence in it is that he has one and everybody else running in the GOP primary did release tax returns. He hasn't. Here's what we know. Donald Trump is held to a different standard. If anybody had said, any of the many offensive things he has said throughout this campaign, their campaign would have been disqualified. If I had 100 bucks for every time I thought his campaign is over because of something he has said or done that is outrageous, I would probably have more money than he does in those tax returns that we can't see The question is though, going forward, will independent voters, the ones he has to win over to his side, care or not. Unlike Mitt Romney and unlike Hillary Clinton who he will likely be running against. Donald Trump is not at all awkward about embracing his wealth.
Exactly. It’s their gravy train they’re interested in.
Although one has to wonder if the talk hosts have been leading us astray all these years TOWARD a ‘close but probable’ defeat at the polls.
And Donny Deush. He was obsessed with it this morning on Morning Joe.
Trump says he’s not doing anything with his taxes while the IRS is auditing him. Makes legal sense to me. He doesn’t want to verify in public something that the IRS might be trying to figure out behind the scenes.
Besides, I think that Trump probably doesn’t claim income. His entire life is his business. I’m betting 100% of the profit stays in the business. IIRC, he even lives in his business tower. They probably do just fine on Melania’s cash.
The IRS is a political tool. I thought “conservatives” wanted to abolish the IRS for this reason. Therefore, yes, Romney is not representing “conservatives” when he demands Trump’s tax returns. Cruz made the same mistake during a debate and was called on it. Soon, Cruz too was singing for an abolishment of the IRS. Go home, Mitt, you lost!!
Trump said he gets audited every year. I don’t think any good lawyer would advise him to release his tax returns during an audit.
Trade Trump’s tax return for the audit report of the Clinton Foundation. I’m much more interested in the latter.
“I think it’s the tag team of Romney-Cruz-Ryan, trying to damage Trumps delegate count”
That would have made sense a month ago.
But right now there is nobody left to challenge Trump at the convention.
Trump will be selected nominee by unanimous consent. I doubt there will even be a vote.
If Cruz was planning to challenge him he would have stayed in. Even if he couldn’t win California, etc he could still pick up a lot of delegates.
I mentioned the difference between Romney's business and Trump's business to my wife yesterday, and I think they are a good metaphor for their approach to the country.
Bain Capital buys healthy companies, and strips them of their wealth for the good of Bain's shareholders. Nothing wrong with that, by the way, companies need to be beware of the possibility of takeover and guard against it.
Trump buys real estate, raw materials, hires talent, and builds things.
The GOPe and their friends across the aisle treat the US like Romney treats businesses, as something to "manage" while the wealth is stripped by them and by those in other countries. Run it into the ground.
Romney just continues to expose himself. The standards and rules are different now. If the media can cover up for a politician and SoS who sets up a home brew email server in her bathroom and is a part of an obviously corrupt foundation that is used as a slush fund then it's hard to give a damn about Donald Trump's tax returns.
Also - I pretty much know how Donald Trump got / gets his money. Until I see a serious investigation into how Pelosi and Reid and others were able to become millionaires while serving in Congress, I'll care about Trump's tax return.
As soon as I hear Trumpists, Trumpsters, etc. from any commentator I immediately turn it off or change the station. You know what comes after it is contempt and bias. Rush is really doing damage to himself.
-- Trump says he's not doing anything with his taxes while the IRS is auditing him. Makes legal sense to me. --
His numerous detractors argue that the law doesn't prevent him from making his tax returns public while they are under audit. This is a total straw man, one of the favorite tools of the perpetually dishonest. Trump has made it clear that he is keeping them private under advice of legal counsel. He asked Greta Van Susteran, who was pressing him on release of his returns, what advice she would give him if she was his lawyer. She said she'd advise him to not make the returns public while they were under audit.
That admission doesn't appear in the numerous news reports this morning.
I hadn't listened to a minute of Rush since late February, then turned him on for almost an hour on Tuesday.
It seemed he had finally turned towards sanity. I listened again yesterday, and couldn't believe how bitter, how divisive, or how disdainful he was towards Trump supporters. When I heard him reading his "Trump supporter" email, saying we were all going to be going, "Yeah! Yeah! That's right!", I turned to my wife and said, good grief, the guy wrote books on negotiation and deals, and you're reading this BS as if it's what he would do and then we would cheer?
I turned him off for the second hour, won't listen to him again for a long, long time.
I can't believe he's actually still trying to hurt the future nominee, which is something he didn't do against Romney, or McCain.
I have no idea what's wrong with him, I am glad that Laura is steppping into the breach. Now I just have to find a station that plays her program.
There is not a lot truth in ANY information the Clinton Crime Syndicate releases. Most of what the allow the public (or even high-level government officials) to see could more properly be described as DISinformation. Looks sort of plausible, but so full of distortions and omissions and just plain fabrications, it is useless as any guide to determining the true order and dimensions of transactions.
