I received an email today from the Colorado State Director for the Republican National Committee yammering on about how important it was to beat the Democrats.
Here's what I responded with:
"Dear Ian,
Please be advised that the degree to which I will support the Republicans in Colorado will be proportional to the degree to which the state party and the Colorado Congressional delegation enthusiastically support their presumptive Presidential nominee, Donald J. Trump.
I had pretty much been done with Republicans, given their traitorous sellouts of the rank-and-file voters throughout the recent years, failing to stop a single iota of Obama's agenda, even though they've controlled the Congressional power of the purse for nearly six years, because apparently getting re-elected so that they can personally enjoy the bounty of D.C. was more important than the so-called "conservative principles" they always espoused during election years but at no other times.
However, the pending nomination of Donald Trump has given me pause to re-examine the GOP, hoping that they might rally behind Donald Trump and implement his agenda once he is elected President.
Nonetheless, if the GOP is foolish enough to believe that they can run on a Paul Ryan agenda in opposition to Donald Trump's agenda and/or don't wholeheartedly back Donald Trump, then the GOP will assuredly lose both the House and the Senate and likely help elect President Hillary R. Clinton.
Sincerely,
My Real Name"
I suggest that everyone here send this or something like this whenever they receive an email from a GOPe candidate or organization soliciting support.
Well, if you had just BUILT THE WALL when Bush was president, AS THE LAW HE SIGNED IN 2005 SAID HE WOULD, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now!
