I did notice they used “US Officials” but that could include FBI. However, I have a suspicion they are switching sources at will to bend the story how they want it. For example if one source claims the FBI is holding interviews, and another source confirms it but adds that “no evidence of willful” lawbreaking has been found, CNN can write “US officials confirm” and color the story by blurring the claims by the individual sources. What they should do is be more specific which source confirms/claims which part of the story.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw them insert that word.
You probably were, until you weren’t.
Thanks Rab
“The investigation is still ongoing, but so far investigators haven’t found evidence to prove that Clinton willfully violated the law the U.S. officials say.”
Weasel words saying the law WAS violated. I’m not sure that not willfully gets her off the hook. Somebody had to willfully violate the law.
