Like Obonzo, she’s Ameriphobic. We can’t allow two of them in a row to rule over the American people.

“They can attempt to re-wrest the nomination away from Trump and away from We the People only by corrupt establishment treachery at the convention.”

It’s starting already.

It used to be said any nation is only 9 meals away from a revolution.

I think it may be possible to say America may be only one election away from a revolution.

Exactly so!

Look, nobody around here could mistake me for a Trump person, but I understand that facts are facts...he IS going to be the nominee and we have to play the cards we’re dealt.

We all need to get solidly behind him and support him and those advisors he’s hired to help him with the upcoming general election campaign.

To those Trump supporters who question the changes that he’s made in the tone and substance of his discussion, remember that he hired these professionals and not you. If you trusted him enough during the primary season to vote for him, you need to trust his judgment now.

To those who supported Cruz or somebody else, the time to complain is DONE. If Trump is still offensive to you, just look at this through the lens of “realpolitik” rather than through idealism: he is the only one who can beat the Hildabeast. Period. He MAY turn out to be a liberal chamber-of-crony-capitalist Republican or he may be what the Trump supporters believe him to be. If he does the right thing on ONE out of 100 issues, that will still make him 1,000,000% better than Cankles. Just from a pure position of practicalism, it’s better to take a chance on supporting him than to oppose him and tacitly support one who will be 100% wrong on 100% of the issues.

Mr. Trump may not be as conservative as everyone, including myself, would like, however, he is the best person for the job at this time.

We have to pray for him each and every day during his
presidency. Who knows what plans God has in store for Donald J. Trump.

Lawyers have run the country for way tooooooo long, it’s time to put another business man in charge.

We the People are depending on Mr. Trump to put in conservative policies, supreme court justices, and rid the country of obamacare, obama appointees, and obamanomics.

President Hillary is totally unacceptable!

With all due respect. I think she would make an excellent president....... of her cell block....or the disgraced lawyers association....or the "your 15 minutes of fame is over club", lots of things just not this country ever.

We are at a moment in the history of this nation where the nation may fail. It has happened throughout history to all great civilizations.

Trump is clearly not a committed conservative, but he may be the only person with the guts and vision to do what is necessary to keep this country intact for our children and grandchildren. For now, I will cut him some slack and am making a leap of faith that he will do what he says he can do — make America great again.

He is going to have to hire advisers with policy experience because he indeed needs a great deal of help. Business experience is great, but DC is a minefield and cesspool that will fight him at every turn. I’d love for him to choose Newt as Chief of Staff.

If he wins, even though he wants to deport millions, the courts will not allow such to happen beyond a snail’s pace. So he will need to get creative, work within legal limits, and create ways to convince people to go back to their country of origin. Stopping all the freebies may help, but the courts will fight him even on that. I have advocated giving everyone who should not be here $5,000 to leave. We would recoup the money in as soon as a year. A family of four could get a fresh start with 20 grand that would go pretty far in their home country.

At the Feb 2001 FReeper Victory Brunch, broadcast by C-SPAN, some were aghast that I actually called Hillary “Satan’s daughter.” Some thought I went over the top. Folks, it was not much of a stretch. She is evil incarnate and this nation is screwed if she makes it to the White House.

Trump, we conservatives are willing to play along and trust you will at least try to do what you say you are going to do —— build a wall, change the balance of trade, and once again make our friends trust us and our enemies fear us.

I like both Trump and Cruz. Would happily both for either. However, Trump is winning - so be it. We need to unite and get rid of petty grudges. The Republic stands on a precipice. Hillary will finish the destructive work Barrack started.

Jim,

Everyone is focused on the Presidential race.........

but, what about the Congressional races. Nobody is talking who is running for Congress. This could be a BIG mistake. Assuming that Trumps wins, he will need the backing of a Republican Congress. Without it we will not resolve the mess were in. Would like to see more on those Republicans entering Congressional races and who they will support for President.

With all due respect, as a Cruz supporter, I find myself less and less wanting to come here these days. I'm insulted over and over by the Trump supporters (not me personally: I'm talking about the generalizations made about Cruz supporters). I've never ever felt like I didn't want to be here. This is the first time. FR has been my home on the Internet since 1998. I don't post much, but I read a lot. I don't read every article, so I'm sure I've missed a lot of the anti-Trump posts. But, I'm particularly sensitive to the anti-Cruz posts. The insults are flying in both directions.

As much as I dislike Trump, and believe me, I do, I will be voting for him if he is the nominee. I dislike Hillary and Bernie infinitely more. So, I'm not a never-Trump person.

I've always thought that conservatives were less emotional than liberals and that they think before they feel. But, lately, it seems that FR is just overridden with emotional posts. I wish we could just have discourse over ideas.

I think Cruz’s big donors have a lot to say about whether he stays in the race or not. The message appears to be, stop Trump by any means necessary - whatever it takes. They are scared stiff about what Trump might do, and Cruz is very beholden to them. They have probably offered him a lot if he just stays in the race and attempts to accumulate enough delegates, by hook or by crook, to stop Trump from getting the nomination on the first ballot. Cruz has been offered a nice, juicy plum reward for doing their bidding and probably would be very loathe to cross them.
