Keep on dreaming - I'm not saying a majority of Republicans will not vote for Trump if he gets the nomination. I think there will be about 30% that will not support him in November. But even a 5% loss of support from 2012 means a landslide loss.
The one who has alienated himself is Imam Ted. He’s insulted Trump supporters, Italians, hell, even an entire state.
As much as I dislike Trump, and believe me, I do, I will be voting for him if he is the nominee. I dislike Hillary and Bernie infinitely more. So, I'm not a never-Trump person.
I've always thought that conservatives were less emotional than liberals and that they think before they feel. But, lately, it seems that FR is just overridden with emotional posts. I wish we could just have discourse over ideas.
bkmk
Disingenuous post. Care to discuss?
How many of Ted’s fellow senators are supporting him? Is the number less than one?
You are on fire today!
I could win the powerball lottery too.
Well, you guys can go pout in the corner and the rest of us will do the lifting.
Not me. Hell no. Being a former Mormon (and current cult deprogrammer) and knowing some of the Romney family personally i have ALWAYS fought Romney...ALWAYS. I took a 6 month hiatus when Romney was the nominee in order to avoid getting zotted for posting against him. You have me confused with someone else (see tagline)...I also have NEVER EVER EVER supported Cruz, even before Trump got in the race.
So check posting history before you attack me. kthxbai
And yet Trump is the one who has a the worst favorability ratings of any presidential candidate in history - and that is with 100% name ID.
and the post I tagged you in was too pookie. I was agreeing with you...dumbass
This country (not just GOP voters) is on the verge of a Revolution.
If you think that Cruz supporters won't be able to overcome the fact that their man lost fair and square, then they're far more petty than I could have imagined. At least they won't be able to raise the argument that Trump's nomination was illegitimate, which certainly wouldn't be the case in the event of a Cruz nomination.
Do you see now how the GOPe and Ted Cruz, by adopting their insane and suicidal "NeverTrump" vendetta, has painted themselves into a corner?
Don't you see that they've created a dynamic where, if Trump doesn't get the nomination, the party burns and we end up with President Hillary?
You can thank the Left/Media/GOPe, and the Cruz campaign for not fully thinking through their Machiavellian machinations. They've made their bed, and now they're going to have to sleep in it.
And, as a die-hard Cruz supporter, so are you.
So snap out of it!
Thus, despite your hand-wringing, the country will unite behind Donald Trump to relegate Hillary Clinton to the dustbin of history.
And if they don't, then the Revolution will just have to take some other form.
So, with all due respect, to Hell with your "this is all a moot point" defeatism...
Vote Trump
You’re delusional.
Agreed. Which is why I finally changed my tagline. LOL
Heck, most of the GOP thinks that fighting back is some kind of character flaw. They couldn't even pretend to oppose the bamster for fear of being called racist.
This woman is a horrible candidate, old, stale, stupid, tone deaf, ugly, no real constituency, even her own party hates her, dishonest, condescending, corrupt to the core, and generally speaking the worst candidate ever. Hell, she can barely beat an avowed socialist who is 74 and slightly insane. That's just how bad she is.
I changed my preference to Trump the week he fought back and eviscerated her with one tweet and a paragraph as a response to her calling him a chauvinist pig. It was epic, the media took note, couldn't respond for her, and she and Bill hid for a week, not commenting on Trump for two whole months. I realized how stupid the GOPe was concerning the Clinton's, and how strong Trump was in forming a narrative right then and there. I never saw anything like it.
So, Trump will go after her, he's the only one who will. Trump has promised to pursue her criminal conduct, he's the only candidate who has.
Having watched this, she is going to be filleted like a tuna during this, their whole schtick is built on a house of cards, she will never survive what he will give her.
Just saw this...replied before I saw this...sorry in advance.
“But, lately, it seems that FR is just overridden with emotional posts. I wish we could just have discourse over ideas. “
Well, while I understand what you are saying and have no criticism of it,,
Take comfort in the fact people are being REAL! NO BS,, no fakery,,real deal people here.
We’re a special, ‘golden’ bunch even if we disagree. Working through the disagreements is difficult, it’s a major challenge.
But you gotta decide if you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and muscle through (which I hope you do) or if you are going to back off. Everyone makes their own choice.
I don’t know of another blog like Free Republic. When I can’t get in, it’s a bit stressful.
There are some really smart and PASSIONATE people here. We are real. Not media-savvy, not rehearsed, not sugar-coated.
I say that’s a HUGE blessing! Hang in there. All this uproar is just for now.
I was confused when I saw one of your posts earlier.
Actually, I thought the guy had finally realized what a fool he had been.
Congrats on not being him!
Thanks MKJ.
