Point out one thing I said that’s not true. Trump has stated all of those positions. They’re not interpretations. You can find the direct quotes with a simple inquiry on your favorite search engine.

The current government solution is an enabler of abortion. I want to reverse that horrible law and decision and return to the normal respect for life.

The logic fallacy that you are representing here is called a false dichotomy. There are NOT only two options. The law can be used to enforce righteous living by NOT ALLOWING the murder of innocents.

“I see the definition of wickedness as seeing evil and not doing anything to stop it.”
well aren ‘t we self righteous today.

What have you done to stop it?
How long have you spoken against abortion? how many deaths ago?
But after a rally,I bet you pick up your trash.
How special of you.

In the future, please do not put the words ‘Trump’ and ‘intellectual’ in the same sentence.

me: “People that know Trump well say he is a man of his word, honorable and loves America.”

edpc:
- “The people that know him well are family, employees, or sychophants. That aside, when are we to assume he’s true to his word?”

This is a lie as Trump has thousands of employees, he exs, many business people and as business man one does not do well with a reputation of dishonesty. Your reputation is too important in business.

- “Was it the time he said he was for universal healthcare, or repeal Obamacare?”

Its a lie that he said he was for universal health care. Here is his Healthcare Plan.
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/healthcare-reform
Its not universal healthcare.

- “How about when he criticized Romney’s immigration plan in 2012, or should we believe his now?”

Sane people have opposed the NAU plan since Bush. Not a negative. Here is Trump’s

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform

Contrast with Cruz’s Amnesty and increasing Foreign workers by 500 percent while doubling the number of Syrian Muslims coming in.

Cruz: 11 Million “Eligible for Permanent Legal Residency”

Cruz In 2013 On Providing Legal Status To Illegal Immigrants
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CwVrfydjOI

- “Perhaps we should take his word when he said he identified as Democrat in 2004, or should we believe him now that he filed as a Republican candidate.”

As Trump explained, it was about the economic conditions. Sadly, it appears to many the economy does worse under GOP then Democrats. I know its not true. Regan laid the ground work Clinton got the Credit for. But in politics perception is reality.
..
See if you can answer that without, “well, Cruz said.....” because that’s irrelevant.

>>Unfortunately, what little of a cultural vision we possess on the Right is so dated as to be largely hokey and irrelevant to the experience of Americans today. Because this new Left has become the dominant culture, the Right is obliged to form a counterculture.

This is the sad reality that we face. We are outsiders in the culture that lives in the America we built and continue to keep operating smoothly. People who speak in terms of a “consistent” anything that goes back a half century don’t even understand what they are fighting anymore.

I have several things to work to stop abortion.

From the less obvious acts of my private prayers, to working though my church to support a women shelter for pregnant teens, to supporting the election of pro-life candidates from donations to working for the campaign. I have been doing one or more of these activities since the 1990s.

No it is not special of me. I am only doing what thousand of others of like mind have done and are doing.
The Christian life is to first fight against oneself, to turn away from a life of sin and then to help others to do the same.

So let me ask you a couple of simple question, Do you support abortion, the murder of the unborn? If not, the next question is do you oppose abortion? If you oppose, how do you oppose? Note, I am not asking how one might oppose abortion. I am asking how YOU oppose abortion.

It's a lie he was for universal healthcare, huh? Well, let's see what he had to say on Larry King back in 1999....

"If you can't take care of your sick in the country, forget it, it's all over. I mean, it's no good. So I'm very liberal when it comes to health care," he said. "I believe in universal health care. I believe in whatever it takes to make people well and better."

Asked if he thought it was an entitlement, Trump affirmed he did indeed believe it was one from birth.

"I think it is. It's an entitlement to this country, and too bad the world can't be, you know, in this country. But the fact is, it's an entitlement to this country if we're going to have a great country."

So, I ask again....which time is he a man of his word? You can also check his book from 2000, The America We Deserve, for his views on adopting a Canadian style health plan.

I could go on embarrassing you with direct quotes from the man contradicting himself on a lot of important issues, but I'm not going to rub it in. You should really do some research and thinking for yourself.

To: GOPe Means Bend Over Spell Run

I find it interesting that you say abortion being illegal in the US is not going to happen, when in fact, it WAS illegal until the Roe vs Wade decision.

I also find it interesting that my comment on this thread had NOTHING to do with Cruz. My comment was about how Trump was not a pro-life supporter in his stated position on abortion.

I would further point to the polling on abortion that the majority of American (70+ percent) support abortion either not a all, or only in very limited circumstances. http://www.gallup.com/poll/1576/abortion.aspx
