I’ve never even heard of Wilma Mankiller...and she was one of the choices.
I just pulled out my roll of $10,000 bills (soon to be know as an Obama $1) and one-time Treasury Sec. Salmon P. Chase is on them.
Welcome to Chicago.
The faces on the currency are about the founding of the country and the men who made it possible - there are no women in this category with the possible exception of Betsy Ross.
This push is part of the devaluing of the country ... helps with teaching empty-headed and poorly educated millennials the ‘true history’ of the country.
Samuel Chase was neither.

Try again.
Putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 is destroying America???
Relax. Have a drink. I’m personally not in favor of it, but Harriet Tubman was a brave Christian woman. Putting her on the $20 bill isn’t jeopardizing the Republic.
It’s about “change”. Drudge has it that Bammy wants to change others, as well.
No, it’s identity politics which is all he’s about some days.
Like I said, I’m opposed to it. But they certainly could have picked someone worse than Harriet Tubman. The Republic will survive this decision. Other decisions? Well thats another story.

The back of the $5 bill will also be redesigned to include opera singer Marian Anderson, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
(snip)
Catherine Clinton, who wrote Harriet Tubman: The Road to Freedom, said she was invited by the Smithsonian to a discussion about putting a woman on the $10 bill and gave a copy of her book to Lew and U.S. Treasurer Rosie Rios.
Jack Lew said he had an “a-ha!” moment. I’m sure he did.
I know people who used to call $20’s “Yuppie Food Stamps” because that’s all the ATM machines spit out. Now I suppose that’ll be considered racist.
Yes it is!
Trump said keep Jackson. Maybe have another denomination for Tubman like the $2 bill.
Sorry Donald, that honor already goes to Thomas Jefferson!
That’s a photo of Stagecoach Mary ... another bada$$ from that era. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Fields
Thanks!
Harriet Tubman was a gun-toting Republican
