That was a mistake on my part.
I was trying to express my appreciation to GilGil for his service to this country.
I should have been more careful to address the Lieutenant Colonel correctly.

I remember during the Iran-Contra hearings of the late 1980’s Lieutenant Colonel Olly North was testifying before congress. He was being asked questions by one of the committee members who kept calling him Lieutenant. North finally had had enough and lectured the committee member that he was a lieutenant colonel which is a rank between a major and a colonel whereas a lieutenant is a rank between a sergeant and a captain. He asked to be properly addressed.
Military people live by rank and get really agitated when not properly recognized.
