Senator Ted Cruz voted for Cloture on TPA Fast track trade authority removing the hurdle and concern of further amendments and clearing the way for passage. Again, like unanimous consent cloture votes are not recorded roll call votes. Thereby Ted Cruz could obfuscate his support. He figured to hide, see how that works?
However, Cruz advocacy could not be hidden entirely. On another bill HR 1314 Cruz voted against an amendment to the Trade Deal that would require congress to be consulted if China (or other nations) were to join after the fact:
Senate Amendment 1251 To require the approval of Congress before additional countries may join the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement

[Now you know why he is supported by the Bush family.]
Color me surprised. Not. Good catch.
[Just read about the guy in South America who was paid a ton of money to influence elections and of course one of his tools was to swarm message boards with this kind of garbage, giving a false sense of objection.]
Oh, they’re here at FR, too.
LOL!! Money - Money. TRUMP gives to receive in NYC! That invitation and Hillary attendance likely meant LARGE favors for TRUMP HOTELS abroad, no doubt.
What did Donald Trump believe at 10:00 am?
“That invitation and Hillary attendance likely meant LARGE favors for TRUMP HOTELS abroad, no doubt.”
You mean, like bribes?
Hey, if it were bribes the time has run out to prosecute, for giving to a campaign fundraiser.
Might have been fine with abortion back then...
Pretty sure he still supported gay marriage back then...
He still supported government provided universal healthcare back then...
Great guy...
He did no such thing. Roll Call 218

Enough with the lies already.
If that is a delegate already voted in, as a Trump supporter, I do not condone going against the people you represent.
If that will only happen on the second round, then that is fine and by the rules.
Ted Cruz: Jeff Sessions is WRONG about ObamaTrade deal [FULL AUDIO]
"Ted Cruz was on with Jeff Kuhner this morning and answered some tough questions about why he supports the TPA/TPP agreements. One of the questions was specifically about what Jeff Sessions has been saying about the trade deal and Cruz blatantly said that what Sessions has been saying is not accurate. In short, he said that the US is not ceding any sovereignty to any transnational commission, that it has no power to bind the US with any law or agreement. The interview is 24 minutes long and I urge you to listen to the whole thing. But if you want to skip ahead to the Q&A about Jeff Sessions take on this, it begins around 16:10."
Obfuscation? YOU are the one who flat out lied about Cruz voting against cloture. Again, Cruz voted against TPA. Cruz voted against cloture. Both roll calls have been provided to you. At this point, a person of integrity would admit that they were wrong, and would cease and desist from repeating those lies. What say you?
Well, the gross double standard was pretty easy to spot.

Maybe, but Cruz was working in politics at the time he was giving his positions, and Trump wasn’t. Imo Cruz’s beliefs should hold more weight than Trumps since it was his job to be educated on the issues.
on the other hand Cruz has received very high ratings from several respected conservative think tanks for his work in the senate. I'll go with that.
I suggest that persons who value integrity listen to Cruz in his own words, examine Cruz's Big Picture (votes, statements, connections, campaign tactics) and form their own opinions accordingly.
Then by what measure should you decide to vote for trump? By what he’s said only during the campaign only? He’s said a lot of things and has taken several sides to many issues.

I have no reason to think Trump’s a liar, so I do believe what he is telling me now. He isn’t a politician though, he isn’t as ‘up’ on some of the issues as his opponents are, and I accept that. — As for Cruz being given the thumbs up by respected conservatives that’s never a bad thing, but Trump has really good endorsements as well.
