And the GOP-e wonders why so many hate them.
Someone need to dig to destroy Deal, similar to what happened to Alabama’s Governor who single-handedly took down the Confederate Memorial.
Nikki Haley should be next as well...
By what margin did it pass in the legislature? What are the chances for an override?
He started his political life as a democrat and never really changed except to get elected once the GOP turned Georgia. He’s a vindictive, arrogant a$$hole and Georgia will be glad to see him go in less than 3 years.
No, he caved to $$$$. They all do eventually.
I find it highly “amusing” that so many conservatives don’t see all of this for exactly what it s ... a cash grab.
All this talk by “conservative” leaders about any social issue is just to get our asses to the polls to vote so they can stay in power and rake it in. You REALLY think they are on our side or care about our values? That would be a “no”.
Of course the Dims do it too but the argument that “well they do it too” is as infantile as the Trump v Cruz WWE match that is now going on.
Remember. It is ALL about the money. Conservatism died long ago. If it wasn’t, we never would have nominated this slate of buffoons running for POTUS.
Now we will see what sort of backbone the legislature has.
The measure doesn’t reflect the character of our state or the character of its people”

It was written and passed by the people’s representatives.
The governor is imposing his will in defiance of his people’s wishes.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”
This was passed at a time when some of the original 13 colonies (states) had established religion. Each state is free to re-establish religion. After all, “Congress shall make no law ...”. So according to the US Constitution, Georgia can legally establish the Baptist religion as the religion of the state of Georgia. Georgia could apply state funds to Baptist churches and schools.
I believe such practices were common at the founding of our country. I recall reading Benjamin Franklin commenting that New York, by way of exception, showed that religion could prosper without State funding.
Dims give $$ and free stuff for votes, that way when they are caught with their pants down their voters don’t care.
So, persecution of Christians is acceptable? The world is truly upside down right now...
Gov pontius pilot.
Next.
And by "our state" the governor means Atlanta, without which Georgia would be Alabama.
Things will change when the muslims take over.
“state legislators should leave freedom of religion and freedom of speech to the U.S. Constitution”
Well Nathan you RINO POS they would love to except the SCOTUS keeps handing down decisions that take our constitutional rights away.
“Of course most of the GOP in Georgia are Democrats in different cloth...”
So true. Georgia is Redstate RINO for the most part. We just seem to breed them.
Coward
North Carolina is next. I expect that law to be repealed in a month
Coward. If this bill was like others the protection for faithful believers wanting to conduct business according to their conscience was actually very narrow. But the usual whingers and liars and perverts have become experts at propaganda.
I truly want to see nothing less than the total death and obliteration of the GOP at this point.
No he is saying no one ever paid huge $$$$$ to see religious liberty in action. So yeah.
