That which doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.
Muslim, Socialist, Communist, Liar, In-experienced. None of these labels seemed to hurt our current White House occupant.
The name-calling is inevitable. Indeed I just heard Carson on the radio making pretty much the same point.
This brings up a fundamental structural problem in the gevernment. A President too damaged to govern. A Congress too dysfunctional to legislate. A judiciary too divided and lacking public trust. So who governs?
By default it becomes a massive, bloated, pervasive, intrusive unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy. It no longer recognizes any limits on its power.
If he is too damaged to govern, blame the government and their media for the hatchet job they’ve done. And if Republicans can’t keep majorities, again, look to the government and media, their own worst enemies.

Well, they can always impeach him.
Bull biscuits! What doesn’t kill you can leave you permanently maimed!
On the one side, we have a successful businessman who has demonstrated that he knows how to run things.
On the other side, we have someone who has never accomplished a thing.
In a sane world, this contest would be a no-brainer. But we have the media, always poisoning the well, always screaming shrilly that the most competent and sane person is the second coming of Hitler.
Please, let the media be the biggest losers in this election.
I hope so.
Like it or not, people tend to forget what happened last month, last year.
Look at the Clintons. I never thought Bill would be seen in such a positive, almost beloved light by his acolytes.
In this age of perpetual 24hour news, we want to know
‘what’s new’? The other part of that is to say Americans, on the whole, like saying ‘I forgive you, sin no more’.
This is what the establishment is hoping for.
So they can step in and save the day.
I agree with you RC. When Trump is elected, he’ll do fine. Cruz, as we have seen today, might be some kind of pervert. And the other choice we have is Hillary or Sanders God forbid. Trump is a very smart man and he’ll be fine President. Of course, I’ve always been an optimist.
Not if it’s Trump.
Not if it’s Trump.
Look on the bright side;
Whoever is elected, will ONLY BE Potus.
Constitutional Conservatives are on the uptick in both Houses and in State Legislatures.
The President isn’t supposed to have that much power.
After Clinton, Bush II and Obummer I think it is up from here.
Either way, mission accomplished. Bet on it.
I think the question should be, Is the country/economy/government too damaged for the next President to govern?
It may be a generation before we experience what our fathers experienced.
