I guess I missed that thread. But I was disturbed earlier by some of the other things she posted, I must say.

Jim,
It is no surprise that I am a strong supporter of Ted Cruz. I want him to win the nomination and the Presidency. I feel he is our best chance to win against Hillary.
I also feel that Ted Cruz has been crucified and attacked unfairly right here on FR.
Having said that I FULLY agree that IF TRUMP is the nominee, and he wins fair and square, that ALL Republicans need to get behind him to save our country from going down under a Hillary Presidency.

We will need to hold Trump, and or Cruz for that matter, to their promises they have made the voters. This will be a fight, the likes we have never seen before.
I still don’t trust Trump... but as stated, IF he ends up the only alternative to Hillary, he will get my vote, while praying MUCH that he hasn’t conned us.

Never in my 75 years of living have I seen anything near like the contention that is going on here in our land and also here on FR. It is sad.

Jim, you are absolutely right: under no circumstances can this republic survive a Hillary installation to the White House. She is the center of all the corruption in Washington, I have that information delivered personally by my sitting US Senator. She founded, funded and armed ISIL with the ams from Libya, and the support of Muslim Brotherhood and AQ via Huma Abdein, sacrificing a US ambassador in the process. All the terrorism underway in Brussels and Paris can be directly traced to that creation in Benghazi. She also funded the walking guns for the Sinaloa cartel in the fast-furious, trading with Obama open access to Chicago drug markets for Sinaloa Cartel, and choosing Sinaloa to defeat the Juarez cartel to run the drugs via the Juarez-El Paso routes. The levels of depravation from her and her minions are endless — Washington functionaries are terrified to challenge her because she is so powerful: they do not want to prosecute the Flagrant Security protocol breaches from her personal email/server fiasco - what Petraus did is a paltry misdemeanor compared to her open flouting of US laws. She even set up her own private NSA/CIA Unit pending moving to the White House, Beacon Global Strategies, to shadow and influence the Obama policies so she can continue to subvert American interest in favor of the pan-islamic jihadists. http://bgsdc.com all bad guys.Whatever it takes to stop her, must be done.

I’m cool with Cruz or Trump. If the GOPe engineers a brokered convention and tries to shove something like Jeb! down our throats, I’m going to have to think about it. A lot.

I don’t want to elect someone who’s only going to postpone the collapse. I want it to happen while I’m still young enough to make some kind of meaningless gesture.

Excellent zot, Jim.

Hope it's a lifetime zot with no chance of redemption.

I know a lot about obnoxious. I'm an expert on the subject. LL was obnoxious.

I for one was kind of looking forward to libbylu’s opus 2.0. It was not a question of if, but when she’d go full rant mode. Ah well, gone not with a bang, but a whimper.

I have always greatly enjoyed this site, so please believe that I ask this with respect: did you vote for Romney?

I understand that is a rather personal question, and certainly understand if you tell me “none-of-your-business”; let’s call it rhetorical.

I mention it, because I want you to know that I did not vote for Romney. I felt the establishment had pushed me too far and I couldn’t vote for a candidate who had been 180 degrees different immediately before running. So I wrote in a conservative name and voted Republican the rest of the ballot. This was a conscientious decision. I knew it meant that my potential vote AGAINST Obama was wasted, but I became convicted that you have to live with who you vote FOR, and it is different than who you vote against. I felt that I would rather lose the short-term battle than have a standard-bearer for Republicanism that drove our name through the mud and clouded the public view of conservatism for a generation.

So flash forward to 2016. I am struggling with a different set of circumstances, but a similar choice. I certainly don’t think Trump is an establishment candidate by any means, yet his position flip-flops are no less troubling than Romney’s, and his conduct is, in my opinion, disgraceful.

I am definitely not thrilled with any alternatives, and I swear I am not a complete purist... I have held my nose and voted for very flawed Republicans. I just think the better of two evils argument has its limits. For me, Trump is too far. I am more of a conservative than a populist, and see Trump as a flexible populist with consistent authoritarian tendencies.

I am not trying to convince you to become a nevertrumper, but I do take exception to an assertion that the decision to abstain from voting Trump is treason. I know that the loudest voices in that camp are career folks who benefit from the establishment status quo, but there are those of us who are not that way.

It’s your site Jim. I respect that. I just hope there is room for those of is who feel Trump is not a sincere conservative.

I dunno, Jim. If they use a brokered convention to stick us with a Jeb or Mitt, I might have a hard time going to the polls. At that point, it will be clear the Uni-Party is in control and our votes don’t matter.

If it is Trump or Cruz, I’m all in!

Jim, is it also treason to advocate that GOP members of Congress not be supported in the general election?

Because there are a lot of folks who seem to be advocating that we elect Trump, but give him a Democrat Congress with which to work on the theory that most Republicans in Congress are no better than Democrats anyway.

A Democrat Senate means the Second Amendment is gone.

I couldn’t agree more. Just had this conversation with my 24 year old daughter, telling her that if more Patriots had voted in 2012, we wouldn’t have had the last for years of Obama.

To sit out this election by not voting, or to vote 3rd party is selfish and self-defeating. It’s cutting off your nose to spite your face. Those who advocate doing this want the utter destruction of America because they wrongly believe they will do the rebuilding. Idiots

Hillary must not be president. Whatever it takes.

I am beginning to think that some of this Cruzadians are paid Government agitators. It is common knowledge that the Anti-Vietnam War effort was infiltrated, and that every “militia” group in the country is infiltrated, if not actually run, but the Government. Glad to see that you are making the FreeRepublic.com difficult duty for the agitators. ;-)

As far as I'm concerned not voting for our Rebublican nominee...

Has this been decided already?

I don't want to be zotted but I didn't vote for Romney last time and I wouldn't vote for him again if he were the nominee. I wouldn't vote for Graham, McCain or Kasich either!

If the nomination is stolen and all the Trumpsters and Cruzers decided to vote third party for someone like Jim DeMint, I'd be all in.

It's Good Friday, let's not forget our faithful, living and almighty King:

Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
