the more concerned I get about Ted Cruz and his blind ambition... To be that power hungry is not good.

Rubio is the real example of ambition sickness, but to be fair, he was talent spotted at a very early age and has been groomed by powerful forces for years (obviously).

The "cruising" incident in the park in Miami doesn't mean the guy is gay, it DOES mean that, even at age 18, he was willing to be someplace he shouldn't have been, hanging with people he should have stayed away from, because it would serve some ulterior motive.

It's a big step up from hanging out with the older Angel Barrios in 1990 to hanging out with Mitt Romney in 2015, but it's the same younger man on the hustle both times.

I already read this, from Jim Robinson, the most depressing thing I've ever seen on FreeRepublic: "Rush explains that like all demographic groups, evangelicals are not monolithic single issue voters. Not even on abortion."

I guess my “fourth grade” remark must of went over your head. You can’t claim someone trashed Reagan and then when asked for the link, you tell the one asking to look for it themselves. Just as the same as me saying that someone said in another thread that you are a DU troll and you hate JR, and then telling you to search for it yourself. It is meaningless without the link.

If you feel strongly that Cruz is not legal to run, then put your actions where your mouth is and file a suit.

Your charlatan hero is afraid to take this to court, A. because it is a NON-ISSUE and B. because this way he can keep it as another fake issue to campaign to nitwits on.

Stunning article. I have been posting on FR many times now that conservatism is a total failure chiefly because it is too intellectual and not enough implemented. I asked many times if conservatism is that good let’s see Rush and Levin run for office and implement conservatism and win. they have not done that. Wonder why (as if I did not now).

My favorite part of the article.

“Rush was correct — conservatism, properly articulated, will win every time. But conservatism is more than a set of bullet points. It is ultimately a form of trust, in people, and that, if left alone, they can manage to get things right. Trump may not have all of the bullet points in line, but the trust is there. Trust is the ultimate gift — if a candidate shows that he trusts the people, the people will trust him in return. Cruz finally could not trust, could not give, and so receives nothing back. And so he grasps at the only hand being held out to him, the cold, dead hand of the establishment, that destroys everything it touches.”

You can criticize Sen Cruz for whatever you want but he exemplifies lifelong conservatism

The people who exemplify Life Long Conservatism have delivered us unto Obama.

For Ted Cruz, the central flaw is a malignant narcissism that erupts into condescension, intellectual arrogance, and a sense of inevitability.

That s all 100% true...if it were written about Trump.

This is bizarre.

Trump wants to secure the borders, enforce the law, end anchor babies, end sanctuary cities, build a wall, deport them all, secure the borders, secure the nation, including sending the refugees back!
No one is better at border security, national security than Trump.

Sounds pretty damn conservative to me.

Want to talk about cutting taxes, cutting spending, cutting regulations, cutting government, cutting cronyism, cutting corruption, growing the economy, putting our people back to work, making America great again?

Trump does. And he sounds pretty damn conservative to me.

Want to defend God, family, guns, country? Want to build the greatest military ever so no one dares mess with us?

Trump does. And he sounds pretty damn conservative to me.

Want to build a coalition including conservatives, capitalists, blue collar workers, veterans, gun owners, religious people, minorities, freedom-loving Americans of every stripe?

Trump does. And he's doing it. And that sounds pretty damn conservative to me!

Reagan Revolution meet the Trump Revolution.

No excuses for the tone. None needed.

Donald Trump is far from perfect, but he is what we need.

A line that I heard on a silly SiFi show The 100. They were talking about there elected leader taking them to a losing war, somone suggested they should remove the leader. That's not us. No but maybe it should be.

Well stated.

To see Trump supporters accusing Cruz of narcissism, when Trump is the one who has to put his own name in huge letters on everything he owns... yeah, there's a lot of denial going on all right, but not by Cruz supporters.

I hate Sify. My thought was based on the cliche, “You don’t always get what you want, but you get what you need.” And its true; I think we need Donald Trump at least for 4 years.

Very good point!

” If “conservatism” is merely “principles” that ver affect change, it is dead. Paul wrote “the Law kills but the Spirit gives life.” Cruz epitomizes the “conservative law” that ignores the spirit of the people that give it life.”

Needs repeating...

He has never said "All" and you know it. He did say the good ones and they must come back legally.

Of course you can always go with Kasich who is promising to sign comprehensive immigration reform in first 100 days. On the same topic Cruz would do the same thing in some form or another, maybe even Trump.

We have been promised income tax simplification for 60 years so I guess politicians actually do lie to us.
