So true, so true. However, I fear that the best we can hope for at this stage, with this culture, is incremental ‘wins’ (that still feel like losing).

The early returns are in, and the answer is "no." The far left has always hated Christianity, and has a long track record of oppressing Christians, up to the point of imprisonment and death. But that obvious fact has been papered-over - quite deliberately - by our modern media and educational establishments.
We hear all the time about the Nazis and the witch trials and the Inquisition, but rarely about the atrocities committed by explicitly left-wing governments. I have even encountered people on comment boards who deny that such things ever happened.
