Laredo is Mexico on US food stamps.
I did notice in the Texas exit polling that Trump did very well with Hispanics, and IIRC, the more working class folks who are probably more directly affected by illegals. I also noticed, on the CNN map, the counties closest to the border were the ones generally more pro-Trump, and/or the smallest Cruz lead.
I used it here then-never got zotted-it is just pejorative slang, not a profanity-the word literally means “wet”. Spanish has been my 2nd language since early childhood-it isn’t like I said “chin***”, which is a profanity...
Those Rio Grande bordering counties though are awfully blue in general elections.
To send the message to work with them or else...
You’re welcome...
4000 GOP primary voters. Must be the 4% non Hispanic.
I hope it goes the same way with the Cuban Hispanics in Florida!!! They also tend to be conservative!!
Starr county (two counties south) is where almost all elected and civil employees are corrupted.
As a kid, I heard my family members saying Starr county was synonymous with corruption-has only gotten worse...
LOL!
Yep, they were arriving at the polls not knowing which party to vote (yes, heard on radio 550 just this am), grunting “trump” “want vote trump”...and being led by the hand to the right table and given translators...
Trump train keeps on track, boarding all who want to see a better, greater America
Trump votes in Webb County: 1,427
Cruz votes in Webb County: 1,155
Rubio votes in Webb County: 1,163
There are 117,905 Registered Voters in Webb county. Only 3.46% (4,089) voted in the 2016 Republican primary.
That this means anything one way or the other...........much less a "documented" Hispanic vote for Trump, Cruz or Rubio...is pretty funny....since there's nothing to prove the 3.46% voters weren't part of Laredo's "5% non-hispanic population".
Talk about cracking me up........
And doesnt this put to rest the notion that you cant talk about illegal aliens for fear of losing Hispanic voters???

That has always been true in West Texas. I work with and live in the same neighborhoods as legal citizen Hispanics, they do not like the illegals.
BTW, most Hispanics I know personally, voted for Cruz, but there is evidence the non-English speaking residents went for trump.

Trump is turning things upside down and inside out.
And that was BEFORE Juarez became the "murder capital of the world"!
The Republican primary in Webb county had 4,089 ballots cast. 3.46% of the county registered voters.
The Democrat primary in Webb county had 25,826 ballots cast (600% of the Republican primary total cast). Democrat ballots were 21.09% of registered voters in the county.
Trump had about 38% of the Republicans, similar to elsewhere in the country but exceeding his percent in most of Texas. He had 1,427 votes overall which gave him 4.8% of the votes cast in the county last night.
While some of these numbers are in the article, the commentary clouds the real vote issues. Hillary got about 9 times as many votes in this county as Trump did in an election where the Republican voters are more motivated. Cruz was only 272 less votes here than Trump and as he won all the congressional districts in Texas, it is small potatoes to make this some review of Trump strength.
Exactly. If Anglos think *they’re* frustrated. . .
The democrats don’t surprise me. They’re thick as stumps anyway. But the GOPES really do kinda surprise me sometimes. Here, they’re thinking that *we’re* the stupid ones. LOL
They don't need to take polls in Webb County because it is lopsided democrat, although it is likely that one of the four county commissioners is GOP. Mostly, democrats run un-opposed by republicans. The winners are always picked in the primary.
The last GOP presidential candidate to win there was Taft, although the Mexican loving George Bush won 42% in 04.
Trump will probably get 15%
I say, “Amen!” to that. He said he’d bring in the Hispanics.
