None of us regular posters on the Daily Rush threads are going anywhere. Unlike you, we've been here for many years. We don't appreciate this ultra rude "Don't like it here? Then go elsewhere!" lecture shouted at us numerous times. Especially from some no-name FReeper nobody knows.

I don't have a penchant for name dropping, and I certainly have no need to "impress" the likes of you. I was merely proving you wrong that FReepers don't actually "know" one another in person. I was in the company of other FReepers when my husband and I spent time with Ann Coulter (at several private events), Andrew Breitbart and Mark Levin (both at CPAC).

So other FReepers can certainly feel free to "name drop" all they want as well. I don't claim these celebrities as my own.. I just pointed out that they told me they were fellow FReepers. In Ann's case, a FR lurker.

I cc'd my buddies because I am doing my part in defending a lot of good people I've gotten to know over the years on these Daily Rush threads from useless angry bullies like YOU.

How many times do we have to go through this? I never TOLD anyone they have to leave this thread. I merely suggested that a poster does not have to stay here if they are unhappy with the direction of this thread. If they chose to stay, that is their business. I asked you to direct me to any post of mine where I told someone to leave the thread. To this point, you have failed to do so. Also each of my posts WERE IN RESPONSE to one of your bully boy buddies' posts literally telling someone to get off the thread if they don't like what Rush is saying. If you had any intellectual curiosity and/or integrity you would have already done this and noted all of my posts to your bully boy buddies were in response to their bullying of a poster. Once again, I never told anyone to leave this thread. I simply reminded your bully boy buddies that THEY were FREE to leave the thread if they didn't like its direction. Sadly, I do not have your faith in the checkmates of Congress and the courts should Trump become a fuhrer.

Just one so-called moderate Supreme Court pick and that check has been ‘eunuched’. And Congress I have the least faith in of all. The only reclamation of their constitutional powers that concerns them is re-election.

In the end I would rather have absolutely nothing get accomplished via the Cruz veto pen than all the greatness Trump envisions.

In actuality, I find the power of the sustained veto refreshing. No party can long endure political lassitude and lethargy when two branches are at loggerheads. When forces clash sensible “Reagan-like compromises” emerge from the pyre. The Cruz haters of his own party will have to bend his way for them to hold onto their seat or majority.

Perhaps you want Trump to be the next Teddy Roosevelt. I like to think of Cruz as the Coolidge reincarnation in which Coolidge worked for hours almost every afternoon with his Treasury secretary, Andrew Mellon, to reduce the federal budget.

I do agree with you on one thing though. Trump likes to be liked. Four more years of narcissism.

I love Coolidge. I rate him #4 in all presidents behind Washington, Lincoln, and Reagan. But CC acceded to a continued isolationism that encouraged the rise of the Japanese and signed off on the Kellogg-Briande Pact that completely “banned war.” (uh huh).

And funny thing about small-government conservatives: when the economy is roaring-—as it did due to Harding’s and Mellon’s tax cuts, PLUS the incredible inventions of the 20s, it sure is easier to cut back because there is more money for everything. Again, Coolidge was great-—but he did not face some of the challenges that, say, Hoover faced. Many wonder what Coolidge would have done after the Great Crash, and others speculate he saw it coming and got out because he didn’t want to be a goat.

As for TR, that wouldn’t be bad right now. We desperately need an Andy Jackson/TR type nationalist who will restore American power and prestige and will, not necessarily through war (TR didn’t fight any wars. He built the Panama Canal). I don’t agree with TR’s business approaches (largely begun under McKinley) but contrary to Glenn Beck he certainly didn’t oversee the destruction of the nation.

Now, as to the Cruz “veto pen,” not a chance. He is so hated that both houses would have a 2/3 majority against him in a heartbeat. He would have no authority with the American people.No, he would be Andrew-Johnson like.

Mr. LS, I know my only chance against you in a debate would be as a rank amateur, and we know what Buckley said about those people ( chuckle ).

I don’t believe in conceding all power to the president. States of gridlock are hardly self-empowering. But any newly elected president has certain authority from the American people for a period of time. If his own party wants to impeach or shut down a President Cruz, then the Republican Party risks its own annihilation.

Trump’s tariff threats, uncertain court selections, single-payer health program, and wild rhetoric are things I just can’t get past. I agree that we need a renewed nationalistic fervor, and Trump is the embodiment of that.

Trump, the casino magnate, is just too dicey a call in the primaries. I wish I had your faith in the guy. It will be interesting to read your eventual Trump presidential biography and his Kellogg (corn flake) Tariff Pact. :)

I wish we could elect both Cruz and Trump. I honestly believe Trump could beat Hillary over Cruz. Plus, i want the wall....and the fact that the GOP is this worried makes me want to vote for Trump even more.

The Daily Rush threads are not typical FR threads. It's kind of like an intimate CIVIL, friendly coffee shop where we fans of Rush Limbaugh hang out on a daily basis, often for just a short time on lunch breaks. Rush fans and some critics of Rush who actually POST, not just lurk. It's fine to criticize Rush, I've often done it myself. But keep it light, and don't drag it on and on and shout ("shout", meaning: using all caps and exclamation points) ultimatums at fellow FReepers who have been posting here for years.

Are you following me? It's like you (a stranger, as most of us can tell) loudly barged into our coffee shop, telling US where to go "if WE don't like it".

There are plenty of other threads where FReepers post articles about Rush, then FReepers discuss the contents of said article, pro and con. Criticize, moan, whine and complain on those threads to your heart's content. You're always welcome here if you're CIVIL, but right off the bat yesterday, you were far from civil, and longtime FReepers who always post here (not just lurk) on the Daily Rush threads called you out on it.

So I say again: If you -- the bull in the china shop who loudly and nastily crashed our hangout -- don't like it here, YOU can go elsewhere.

Actually these daily threads have served pretty much as a Rush fan thread over the years. Rush fans started the Daily Rush thread years ago, and mostly Rush fans populate the thread every day.

YES, we all criticize Rush now and then, and most of us get flak for it just like you did. But we don't continually bully each and every FReeper to get off the thread with the condescending refrain of "If you don't like it here, go elsewhere!" Funny, we've all mostly gotten along pretty well on these Daily Rush threads for many years until the likes of you and a few others came along here recently.

I'm done with this "conversation". You're delusional in that you think you are as pure and innocent as the wind-driven snow, so nothing more I can say will convince you otherwise.
