I think you’re right, HM. He is starting to look very desperate. I obviously don’t know this, but based on articles/FR threads I’ve read, it wouldn’t surprise me if he is getting a lot of pressure from the RNC/GOPe and/or major donors (like the Koch bros).
He’s probably trying to figure out where his next job will be, since he gave up his senate seat. I suppose he may get hired on K Street.
