A candidate has no obligation to run to an enemy HQ and let them ambush him. Better to expose their agenda first and attack that base, not walk in unarmed.

Well, I've noticed that most Liberal candidates seldom go to a hostile debate environment unless forced to....which is why I've always viewed them as weak. My "philosophy" has proven correct, more times than not, when they get into office.

I am looking for someone who is so comfortable in their skin, and their agenda, that they could walk into a room full of political "piranhas" and not flinch.

With the mess Obama has left our country in........it's going to take someone with that type conviction (or "balls" in plain terms) to protect America against her enemies, IMHO

Not only can Rubio not handle anyone who openly disagrees with him, but look how quickly he got taken in by the Amnesty pushers (”come join us in the Gang of 8, son! We love you!”). He’s as naive as a newborn baby.

Hmmmmmm, you've given me something to think about. I never considered that Rubio is too "naive"......I just figured he turned to the dark side when he got to Washington. LOL

Either way, if he didn't show up because it was an "unfriendly" forum....(and then sent Gowdy to do his dirty work for him).........he is NOT the man for the White House.

He was naively taken in by the dark side. It was just too easy.

Of course you don’t support Rubio, he isn’t paying your paycheck. That would be Trump. Have you hit your quota for anticruz/pro trump posts today?

Cruz won't do O'Reilly. Too hard for him. He also likes to pick his venue.

How about all the votes Cruz missed in the Senate?

For all of 2015 and 2016 to date, Rubio missed 38.7% of all Senate votes (140 of 362), and Cruz missed 27.9% (101 of 362).

In 2014, their missed vote numbers were 28 (Cruz), and 30 (Rubio).

In 2013, their missed vote numbers were 16 (Cruz), and 9 (Rubio).

Yes, overall Rubio is worse, but neither has a record to be proud of.

Their pay should be docked for every missed vote without a valid excuse (campaigning isn’t valid).
