I'm sure Jeb is a nice guy and a resonantly competent executive.
However, when you intend to run and win without the support of the base, you are not going to win. When the base wants illegal aliens deported, you don't pander to them, by suggesting that the base are xenophobes. You say what the base wants...and we want them out of here.
You don't run as a candidate who wants to turn the US into North Mexico.
Some advice to Team Bush. Pack it in guys, you're finished after South Carolina. And Good Riddance to the entire lot of you.
Imagine the stunning horror when the Bush family realizes that their “party” is over.
Same for the Clintons.
Jeb a decent man? Our own people?
If beating the rats means putting the likes of Jeb in power, then you might as well stay home.
Of course the similarly inspiring Dole, McCain and Romney all won big, and that landslide win that W had over Mr. Charisma himself, Gore all point to the tactical wisdom of getting behind the GOPe choice.
Never mind that even if Jeb miracles himself into the White House he’ll govern like a rat lite.
You don't think the guy who raised his hand when Grahmnesty asked if there were any democrats here is a good candidate?
:-)
It's been virtually six months since we noticed we both believed that Jeb was going nowhere, was a bad candidate, and pointed to the specific reasons why. Tip o the hat CEW. Let's meet at a virtual bar after work today to celebrate the end of the Bush dynasty!
I would posit that Jeb should have known deep in his soul, that electing another member of the same family in 25 years time was simply impossible. His own mother admitted it 2 years ago. He also made it impossible to support him by choosing illegal immigrants over Americans. It is very difficult to beat the rats, when our own side desires the very same thing they do.

There is a touch of irony here that the final and fatal blow to the Kennebunkport carpetbaggers will be delivered by the south.
Next up - the Clinton Klan.
I didn’t miss the end tag, I put the wrong letter in the end tag.
I agree with what the article says, I just don’t like how he says it. What is up with spelling God with a little “g” instead of a capital? He definitely is not happy about being in the South.
I actually feel bad for him, as I am convinced this is going to land him on a psychiatrist’s couch.
One of Jeb’s myriad of problems is a lack of grassroots support from jump street.
It was easy to predict Nicki would go with Marco after Trey Gowdy and Tim Scott endorsed him. She’s a card carrying RINO who sold her endorsement to Mitt last go around for a $35,000 campaign contribution.
Looks like the Lt Governor gets the win for endorsing Trump. Saturday evening is going to be yuuuge!
