AMERICA stands in the balance.
Don’t worry, Trump will never pick Pryor. He’s more of an Alan Grayson kinda guy.
Trump isn’t a conservative so why would we expect him to pick conservative justices?
From where do our rights emanate?
Horrible pick. How come no one has called Trump on this?
I still like Trump over Rubio, but it is back to the drawing board time.
Surprised Cruz has not capitalized on this
sorry. prospective.
Remember that Moore’s appeal was dismissed by SCOTUS without dissent.
The issue at hand for Pryor was not the display, but the judge’s actions in the face of a final ruling, all appeals, including two to the SCt, having been exhausted.
It depends. Will the American people stand and fight back or have they become as corrupt as the people they chose to represent them?
Pryor is a very solid judicial conservative, and his position on Moore was 100% correct from that perspective.
Well, yes, yes. But why quibble with technicalities like that? Why does there always have to be a party pooper who brings reason and perspective into these discussions?
And Beat Army.
Obama’s pick is the one you want to be concerned with.
We know how Trump felt about Kim Davis’ religious freedom. She has to “follow the law.” This pick is entirely consistent with that anti-religion philosophy.
It’s very easy for states to simply ignore unjust federal rulings and laws. The law is an ass. We have laws on the books that get ignored and violated every day and are never enforced. When someone is too cowardly or too much of a brownshirted, jackbooted thug to value freedom over an unjust law, then they are a traitor to the cause.
But you see, Trump mentioned him
So the Cruz mafia put out a hit for any decision they could find to paint him as a communist.
If Cruz had mentioned his name, JediJoke would not care what his ruling on this was.
Now watch them dig at that other person Trump named.
It’s hilarious on the other thread.
Strumpettes are defending Trump by saying he didn’t know what he’s talking about.
That’s an actual defense.
States are openly ignoring federal marijuana laws right now. With G.W. in office from a practical perspective, he never would’ve had the feds enforce the 10 commandments ruling in Alabama. So all Alabama had to do was to ignore it and Roy Moore would’ve been safe. This judge and the others took a stand, they bear responsibility for it, and “just following orders” is no excuse.
Ok, since you think Cruz’s picks will be 100% perfect, can you give us what his suggestions are?
Anyone?
Well, that’s true. I’m not a fan of the mafias on either side of the Trump/Cruz battles. I’ve already had enough of the fifth-grade level “Cruzbot” and “Trumpeter” name-calling to last multiple election cycles.
Cruz gave 2 names in one of last year’s debates, but I don’t remember them and can’t find them online. If you can find them, please post them here.

Pryor also received national attention in 2003 when he called for the removal of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who had disobeyed a federal court order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the Alabama Judicial Building. Pryor said that although he agreed with the propriety of displaying the Ten Commandments in a courthouse, he was bound to follow the court order and uphold the rule of law. Pryor personally prosecuted Moore for violations of the Canons of Judicial Ethics, and the Alabama Court of the Judiciary unanimously removed Moore from office.
Despite the fact that the 108th United States Congress was controlled by the Republican Party, Senate Democrats refused to allow Pryor to be confirmed, criticizing him as an extremist, citing statements he had made such as referring to the Supreme Court as "nine octogenarian lawyers" and saying that Roe v. Wade was the "worst abomination in the history of constitutional law.
