-I didn’t pay much attention to Bush and had no real opinion of him, but after the last few debates I’m really starting to despise him. He’s a spoiled punk who refuses to understand nobody wants him and his Rino sh#t.-

Bush is a sniveling coward who hides behind his mom and a stacked audience.

I’m tired of hearing how wonderful Florida is too, it isn’t. He rode a housing bubble which popped the year he left.

you feel he is despicable because Cruz is making you face your deep inner fears.

Exactly...I have ruminated for sometime now about Cruz and my inner fears. Finally I was able to put my finger on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-NwKD9laZw&index=6&list=PLisjJFNDmJxiDO4b6LONJni-iIlZL1Stg

A group of liberals in charge of a federal judiciary, and in this case the highest court in the land, should scare the hell out of all of us. Also, as we’ve seen from this administration the Constitution isn’t gonna stand in the way of achieving the leftist agenda.

If you want to know what Trump actually thinks and believes, read HIS twitter, his books, and listen to his rallies and interviews, and read his position papers on his website.

Trump attackers have to either lie, twist his words, take out of context, and just call names.

OTOH those “attacking Cruz or Rubio just need to bring up facts.

Ok let’s read page 60 of the “Art of the Deal”!!!!!.....
Trump implys Ronald Reagan was a con man...
So you won’t think I’m taking Trump out of context...here’s a link for you jerimiah...
http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2011/04/19/159541/donald-trump-ronald-reagan-con-man/
Read the last paragraph!!!!

Then come back and tell me why I should vote for Trump with him believing that about the Greatest president ever!!!

As much Drama Queen nonsense as most are posting here, this debate changed nothing... no Rubioesque self inflicted gun shot wounds to the head by Trump (though some here seem to incorrectly thin he did) and no grand slams by Cruz..

Their numbers will remain effectively unchanged. Among Bush/Rubio/Kasich bunch up a few points may shift after this, but in terms of the top of the heap, this debate changed nothing, as much as the screeching by supporters of various candidates wish it may.

I hate to break this to the Cruz backers, but Trump is not going to shoot himself in the head like Rubio did, and if Cruz wants to take him out, he has to deliver a headshot, Trump is not going to die a death of a thousand cuts, or be brought down by a body blow or two.

As long as Trump is in the race Cruz is locked in no better than 2nd place, his campaign of ideological purity for the conservative cause isn’t going to break him out, this election is not about ideological purity... rarely is it. For Cruz to get higher nationally he’s got to get rid of Trump, and frankly I don’t think has the skills to do it... without him in the race, maybe he could pull off the nomination, but even then I am dubious of his chances. With Trump around, Cruz’s chances are nil for the nomination.

Cruz has a nice lock on the ideological voting block, but as you are seeing, that isn’t enough to win an primary.. in fact, it never has been. If that’s all you get to support you, you lose the primary. That can anger you all you like, but that’s just how the numbers play out.

Here’s some more truth for EVERYONE.... until Trump or Cruz get above 45% in the national polling independently the establishment candidate is NOT LOCKED OUT. As long as Trump and Cruz combine to 60% of the vote or less and neither is independently at 45% or better, all it takes is the establishment bloc to finally coalesce and the race is theirs.. We are not past the point of that happening yet.

Honestly I think you are going to see Trump top that 45% nationally shortly, but until one of them does, the path that an establishment candidate wins by plurality is a very real scenario.

This was amazing scene tonight when John Dickerson is supposed to be the debate moderator and instead he starts getting into a debate with Ted Cruz regarding the appointment of Supreme Court justices during an election year.

Cruz rightly pointed out it’s been precedent for 80 years not to do this. Dickerson then started arguing with Cruz about when Justice Anthony Kennedy was appointed and confirmed.

Dickerson said he wanted to get the ‘facts’ out there. There’s only one problem.........Cruz was right. Anthony Kennedy was nominated in November 1987. He was confirmed in 1988.

Then just heard CNN attacked Cruz over his 1987-88 banter!

"You cannot build properties of the magnitude Trump owns and not have the best people help him to run them. That is how I know.

Nobody suggests that Trump isn't smart or good in business. The same and more can be said for the Koch brothers, who started with the about the same cash as Trump, as did Michael Bloomberg, who in fact is worth $41 billion to Trump's $10 billion. Doesn't mean we want them as President---

--especially when they may not hold conservative values, and Trump is not a conservative, he has spent his whole life meandering all over the political landscape and was doing it again tonight (Planned Parenthood is about abortion, Donald. Wake up).

I think you and I are clearly in the majority - Bush is a loser and he needs to drop out. His brother turned out to be a lousy President.

Cruz might have wanted to hide the fact he spoke Spanish to appeal to the Texas anglos.

There does seem to be a lot about Cruz he tries to hide. Say like him writing lord McCain's 'waterboarding' legislation... There are few as anti US military than lord McCain... That one was a real shocker to me. Cruz sure has never touted that big accomplishment, until the NH debate, when he was forced to divulge his stand on 'waterboarding'... It sounded like he had cotton mouth when he said the name 'McCain'.

He has to put it on his website. That is putting it in writing. I haven’t watched his recent rallies so I haven’t heard him say abortion should be illegal but I have heard him say with exceptions and there should be NO exceptions. It is an abomination.

In the very beginning of the debate, on the SCOTUS appointment question, Cruz was asked by the moderator to clarify the facts and say whether he was talking about nominations by a lame duck or successful nominations by a lame duck.

He totally avoided the question and gave some fluff about how candidates say different things in a campaign than they do once they’re in office. Huh? Who asked him that? When the moderator tried to make him focus, the audience booed the moderator, and that made Cruz’s comment “work.”

Disgusting.

Now that everyone’s head was rattled and everyone realized it was going to an audience-driven show, we were off to the start of the anger fest that we watched.
