CBS News reports that Sen Cruz and Sen Rubio have made statements that the next President should appoint the new Supreme Court Justice.
Another report said that Scalia told his companions he wasn’t feeling well the night before. The next morning, his companions went on the hunting trip, came back, and when he still did not get up, they checked on him.
If true, seems odd that *no one* in the party checked on him before they left.
RIP Scalia. He had the best mind on the Court. He will be sorely missed and we’re much worse off without him.

Worry now is Obama’s recess appointment when congress goes on break in January before Obama’s last day.
It is mandatory that he lay in state in the Capitol Rotunda and there be a national day of morning is beyond question. The flags should fly at half staff for one month !!

As for replacing him: this is why it really doesn’t matter to me who eventually gets nominated (I have preferences, but our primary is so late it doesn’t much matter). Whoever we nominate has my vote.
Period, end of story. I don’t let personal hangups get in the way of the one blinding issue: Liberty wins and Communism loses. If anyone has some sort of personal hangup about a nominee, whatever that major malfunction is, get over it. We had that in spades the last time around and it was disgusting.
