I have lived in NC all my life, but I was a Dallas fan long before Jerry Richardson ever had the idea to bring the NFL to Charlotte. I would have been glad to see Carolina win, but I was not disappointed at all to see Peyton win another Super Bowl. He is a class act and has a great family. As a Dallas fan, I find it ironic that two of the other people who contributed the most to the win are former members of the Cowboys’ organization - Coach Wade Phillips and outside line backer Demarcus Ware. Thanks to Jerry Jones for letting them go help another team win a Super Bowl!

Congrats to Denver. And the Browns are once again tied for first place!

Happy for the Broncos. And what a relief that the Texans got rid of Kubiak and Phillips. Otherwise, JJ and the boys might have had to work today. < /sarc >

(Mild rantings from a Houston Texans fan)

Haha, Carolina loses 24-10 against a team with no offense! In the 50-year history of the Superbowl, only 5 losing teams produced fewer yards than Denver (which had a pathetic 194 yards).

Oh, my, how insulting for the Panthers.

I’m happy for Peyton. He gets his second ring and can go out on top, if he chooses to retire. Which I think he will.

As for Carolina...I’ve not really followed the NFL that closely, so the criticisms I’ve heard of Cam Newton have mostly been second-hand. I’ll just say that if he’s smart, he’ll take this loss as a learning opportunity to get better as a player.

Damn Broncos fans will be insufferable - I find most Coloradans to be flaming jerks, particularly those from the Denver Metro area ... Now it’s gonna be amplified 100 fold. Ugh!

The SuperBowl Half-time show was a tribute to Black Power, however, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Black Panthers, who succeeded about as well as the Carolina Panthers. Beyonce’s fake cartridge belt may have contained a few actual cartridges, minus their primers. The large X that the 50 black women in paramilitary uniforms and black berets formed, of course, honored Malcolm X, the racist white-hater. Was the conventional US media silent on this? Then go read the British press!
