Trent Lott was a proto-McConnell. No doubt he’d be much harder on a conservative Republican than any liberal Democrat. It was a good day when Lott was ousted.
I wish Crus would go over to the Democratic side. We already had one Nixon, we don’t need another.

Not a Cruz supporter at this time, but could be should he stand with the nomination. As for Trent Lott, the word insignificant is way too good for him. I got physically sick when he grovelled and apologized in the Sen. Thurmond matter. Just get loss Trent, and leave well meaning people alone. We do not care what you think. Ole Cut & Run Trent, is all.
Well .. facts be known .. McConnell DID LIE .. RIGHT TO THE FACE OF CRUZ.
He told Cruz one thing .. and then it turned out to be a lie. I believe this was one of the times that Cruz forced a re-do on his vote .. because he had been told it was one thing, and it really was another.
This is how McConnell runs his Senate .. he lies to get people to vote for things they did not intend to vote for. It’s typical that Lott would join in with McConnell (two peas in a pod). McConnell is really “Reid the II’s”.
I hope Crus does too. OTOH, Cruz should remain right where he is, but only since there's no Conservative party. If there were one, he could go & Trump could stay or join the Democrats as he's done many times before...

Trent Lott is worthless. And so is McConnell. Having said that, yelling ‘liar’ like that didn’t help the situation at all. I think a Harvard-educated, intelligent person could do better than acting like a toddler.
