https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mess_of_pottage
“A mess of pottage is something immediately attractive but of little value taken foolishly and carelessly in exchange for something more distant and perhaps less tangible but immensely more valuable. The phrase alludes to Esau’s sale of his birthright for a meal of lentil stew (pottage) in Genesis 25:29-34 and connotes shortsightedness and misplaced priorities.”

Things are looking good for Cruz. First Jimmy Carter and now Sweater Vest.

Sad if true. Makes it seem that his pro-life, conservative persona was just a convenient shtick to fool the rubes. Or that he got his feelings hurt that social conservatives preferred Cruz over him, so he will support the liberal. In any case, I doubt that many of his supporters will follow him down that path.

We suspected the Veteran Rally with Trump was the endorsement of Rick and Huck.
They can not stand Cruz.

Iâm guessing that when Carson does drop out, he wonât be endorsing Cruz or Rubio for lying about him and stealing his votes.I wouldn't bet on it. If the exit polling was close to accurate in Iowa Trump lost support because conservatives don't believe he is a conservative. Carson is a conservative. He is a social conservative. I don't believe he will support someone with NY values.
Trump will probably do well in NH, but I think his NY values won't play well in the SEC primaries. Rubio will get the media support and establishment support. Cruz will get the support of conservatives. Hopefully, Trump will fade and his supporters will go to Cruz, if not the GOPe will win again.

They are both from the northeast and Cruz is from Texas. Yankee love.Combined with Yankee disdain for the rubes and kooks from flyover country. That's why it's incomprehensible to me that Palin could endorse Trump.

Sounds right by me. Next Huckabee endorses. So let’s see all the Palin, Santorum, Huckabee bashers on FR.

Someone on twitter said that IF Rick does this, all of a sudden the oh so loyal Conservative base will fry him as NOT Conservative enough.
Lo and behold, Red State does that in their article.
Predictable.

He resembles Ronald Reagan.Trump resembles Reagan in that their ancestors were from Northern Europe. Apart from that, they are nothing alike.

Why would Rick endorse a man you repeatedly bedded other men's wives and brags about it???
Why would Santorum back a man that gave Reverend Al, Harry Reid and Hillary money???

Cruz lives in Texas. He is not FROM Texas.
Big difference.
To: iowamark
Jimmy Carter endorses Donald Trump ⦠over Ted Cruz. Scott Brown endorsed him.. both true conservatives.
