This was Rush’s opportunity to prove to people that he is not the Establishment shill that so many of us thought he was. A perfect opportunity. He had nothing to lose and everthing to gain by supporting Trump. He decided to fall back to where he was by standing in front of Rubio instead. As you say: Big Mistake Rush! Big. Mistake.

In Iowa, Trump was extremely frugal and did not exert nearly as much energy barnstorming the entire state as Cruz did, and yet captured the same number of delegates. Just sayin’ there is something to be said for such economy. (Like it might be a good way to run a country!) that said, I’m not impressed that Trump did NOT having a huge, dependable organized ground game.

Gloating too early is no better than polling too early. BUT, these people probably support Hillary or Sanders, so they will never have a perspective we agree with. Therefore, who cares what they say.

Yea— It is the silly overreaction by people fueled by the media— that predicted every little thing that happened during the election was the end of Trump...

I agree, he missed a huge opportunity to stand with ‘us’.
Regardless if he went for Trump or Cruz, it’s the fact that he elevated Rubio that disgusts me.

I still wonder why he showed the face of the game so soon. How does THAT work?
