If you read the article I sent to you, you would realize that trying to equate 114 octane ethanol with gasoline is not relevant.

Be sure you know the facts prior to jumping out there.

They are paying McDonnell Douglas for national security. And a loss indemnified fortune. Ethanol is a tax break that encourages both production and consumption. It is pennies compared to 100 percent plus. You’re right it’s no comparison, but it’s not the tax break for refiners that is the greater subsidization.

So, just when to you think Ted started running for President, when he woke up one morning inspired by a dream ?

Don't peddle that trash, no one is buying it.

Anyone who runs for President before they're half way through their first term in the Senate has been running for President since before they even entered the Senate race. That goes double for someone who has the right AKC Princeton/Harvard papers to unlock the door to the club.

He credited Palin with his victory for that Senate seat, by the by, which should tell you a lot about it being "so hard to believe" anything Ted says. People believed Sarah, Ted not so much. Who did she endorse for President ?

Hillary getting beat is more important to me than ethanol, and Trump WILL BEAT HILLARY. Period

Precisely. It's choking on a gnat while getting run over by an elephant.

If we don't have a country, jobs, or borders, and if we continue to elect Uniparty Washington Elite Political Class Professional/Career politicans who become wealthy from lobbyist and donor cash, if we continue to be invaded by Muslims financed and promoted by government, everything else is moot. Hopefully we'll fight the conservative vs liberal battles later, and conservatives will win. But that battle won't even happen if we are overrun by a permanent Dem majority of mexicans and muslims, if Indians have 500,000 (as Cruz wants) of our highest paying jobs, if trade deals make exports impossible, if the Republican Elite fund every liberal pipe dream, raising our deficit 2 trillion and more every year---nothing else will matter.

Another example of the typical Cruzbot trying to avoid dealing with the facts of here and now by talking about other times, other people, and anything but reality.

At one time I felt sorry for the people who were going to learn the hard way what Cruz really is but the more the Cruzbots behave like idiots the more I begin to look forward to seeing them in a fetal position, crying, and hugging their blankets because Cruz won't be giving them a good speech job any more.

the more one like you sees trees, you avoid the forest.

too bad, as I think we are really on the same side, i.e. - no Hillary. Tactics and strategy on how to make it happen is the only separation.

And insults you can keep to yourself, if you believe your own tagline.

12% plus or minus of our liquid fuel is ethanol. It is the preferred octane booster.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. 3-methyl-heptane is the preferred octane booster. Ethanol is an inferior fuel. It costs more than gasoline, and it provides less energy.

People who use 90/10 gasoline/ethanol mixes get less miles per gallon than those who run 100% gasoline. And on top of that, ethanol attracts water, which means that it cannot be shipped via pipeline and must be transported over road by tanker trucks. It also damages engines.

Whaaaa ! you got an equal and opposite reaction now you're hurt.

You obviously don't believe much of anything or you'd have never snarked out your original irrelevant response. Of course someone asked to be VP supports the candidate who asked them. Teddy bear Cruz would have done the same thing in spades and then some. He could still end up being in that same position this year and then what, you take your Legos and go off to your room in a huff ?

Now have nice time pretending the trees on your bedspread are the forest and you're the all knowing eye above it all.

Kiss your Teddy bear g'night and go sleepies now.

Weird, isn’t it? In times past, this type of anti-capitalist subsidy would have been laughed off the pages of FreeRepublic. But now that Trump supports it, subsidies are now considered ‘Making America Great Again’. Same goes with Planned Parenthood funding.

Ethanol is a tax break that encourages both production and consumption. It is pennies compared to 100 percent plus.

What in God's name are you talking about? The discussion is not about a tax break. It is about the Renewable Fuel Standard - a mandate that forces gasoline producers to buy and use a set amount of ethanol each year, whether they want it or not. Forcing a company or an individual to buy a product from another private party is wrong, whether it is Obamacare or ethanol. If the ethanol industry cannot survive without the government forcing people to buy their product, then it needs to go out of business.

All true. So what ? None of that alters the fact that Congress has to act to end the mandate and subsidies so where does Cruz suddenly get all the influence with Congress it would take to end that subsidy ?

How can anyone think it's brave for Cruz, a Senator from Texas, to be against ethanol subsidies ?

Of course a Senator from Texas wants 100% gasoline in every tank with nothing like ethanol. Wow, big brave stand for Ted. He can wrap it in all sorts of BS because that sells well to some folks but he wouldn't be a Senator from Texas if he didn't say that. So, Cruz will do what's best for the oil producers and wrap it in BS. That's what Cruz being against ethanol proves, nothing more.

Have Cruz stand up and explain why when he's with wealthy queers in NYC redefining marriage to suit the queer lobby is no big deal but in Iowa it's something he says is important. I want to hear that explanation, not why ethanol is bad and Cruz has clever ways to call doing what's best for the oil biddness a brave and principled conservative stand.

Once he clears that up, I want to hear how he's against boondoggles like the F35 and how he'll be as tough on the Pentagon waste addicts as he says he'll be with Putin.

Of course a Senator from Texas wants 100% gasoline in every tank with nothing like ethanol.

Downstream business is a fully competitive market. Refineries take the price and sell everything they produce. Ethanol has zero effect on that. It is the consumer that is affected. And it is for the consumer that Ted is taking this stand.

Have Cruz stand up and explain why when he's with wealthy queers in NYC redefining marriage to suit the queer lobby

This is a lie. Ted Cruz supports traditional marriage. He has never wavered from this. Never.

The facts here are that Donald Trump runs to the left of Ted Cruz on every issue. In fact, Donald Trump is to the left of Mitt Romney on every issue, too. Which of course begs the question of why so many here are backing the Democrat candidate for the GOP nomination.

This is the same evil that Ayn Rand railed against. Trump supporters are holding Cruz to a standard which they themselves do not hold when it comes to their candidate.
