I believe that if Cruz fails to learn lessons, all this hand waving of yours will be of naught.
The bible speaks of what happens to one of stiff neck after much reproof.
Well it’s a good thing that’s your belief and not mine in determining what or not God does with Cruz....or that there’s anything to be concerned about that you seem to think there is. I do not share your position regarding Cruz.
Can I write this in even “larger letters” (so to speak, I am not going to play font tricks here).
The problem will happen if Cruz is so “principled” he fails to learn anything new. And what I see of “principle” has a tell tale superficial look. It’s almost like the way I acted, 3 years into my faith (I am now 27 years in). This will also illustrate that the Trump situation isn’t as bad as it looked.
I am confident to let the play-out of events either vindicate or correct me.
But I have a strong degree of confidence. I’ve run through many of these spiritual rodeos before, personally, fell on the ground, bled, and gotten back up wiser.
I beg the indulgence to be accepted that I know what I experienced at least. And it was that having first become Christian gave me more proud airs than I had in my attempts to be a noble unbeliever.
That soon threw me down. God was not going to brook that kind of guff out of me. His own reputation was at state, having put His name on me.
I think I was ironically a recipient of more grace than Christians who go on superficially for years and years. God did not want me to sit put. He had something down the road for me to get to, even if He had to let the devil kick my bottom every step of the way.
state -> stake
Anyhow obviously all you have is what I aver. But doesn’t it at least SOUND realistic? It makes perfect sense by every bible metric (not church religious metric) I know. Ask the Holy Spirit if I am giving you a B.S. job here.
I agree. I am frankly disappointed in how Trump and Cruz have both campaigned.
I would have thought that as 2 anti-establishment candidates, they both would not campaign in the same old “politics as usual” style.
Not thrilled.
Not interested further...but thank you for your interest.
Kind of wishing someone could make a list of these reports or allegations, but anyhow I think it will come out in the wash, if not in this primary then in not too many more primaries.
If Cruz keeps on being too clever by half, he’ll lose because of self sabotage not even so much as Trump wisdom. Trump thinks it’s a good idea to bluster at people who he might need as friends some day. Now they may forgive him, taking his style and the totality of his purpose into account, but this isn’t ideal. They’ll be wary next time around at best. It’s Cruz shooting himself in the foot worse, that will result in his loss if it happens.
If you are not interested in taking questions of truth to God then you might ask why....
JJ:”No, it’s an old tactic used by many campaigns in the past.”
But interestingly, none of the other Republican candidates decided to use this tactic. So it certainly says something about the Cruz campaign...
Also you have to look at how it was implemented... there are ways of raising consciousness of primary participation importance, without directly insulting your voters. This one descended to a new low in unclassiness.
Not so fast! Marco Rubio also sent shaming letters!
Joe Scarborough retweeted a story about it that includes photos. To be fair, they don't appear to "grade" the voter, don't include the word "violation", and don't rat out the neighbors.
But it certainly explains Marco Rubio's mild response yesterday when questioned about the Cruz tactic.
Sheesh what part of not interested in taking this further do you not understand? Are you having a problem with letting go? let me see if I can help you by not responding to this fruitless conversation further.... End of discussion.
You can nudge without shaming. I don’t know if anyone has done it with a “we miss you” theme, but that would be a good level of consideration to, well, consider.
I point out truth. I tend to be stubborn about truth. Up to you to accept or reject. You can show acceptance by keeping your word, which would be simple.
Tonto:”Not so fast! Marco Rubio also sent shaming letters!”
Thanks for the info. I was not aware that Rubio also took a similar path. I’ll file this away in preparation for my own primary vote.
It was weaker in tone though still gimmicky.
Ok, I thought it was a comment about Trump. He’s not the first to never apologize, but is perhaps the more obvious. Because he says ‘controversial’ things. I think Cruz was right not to apologize, although from a human and religious perspective it’s probably the right thing to do. But in politics you’ll get eaten alive for it and be perceived as wimpy.
