He could have done it with out all of the personal information.
It would have been simple and more effective as there would not be the blowback that this caused.
Big mistake on the part of his campaign.
Honestly, I am still quite skeptical that this was sent out by the Cruz campaign. Cruz does best with people who have voted in past caucuses. Trump does best with people who have not voted in the past caucus’s so there would be no reason for Cruz to try and shame people with a history of not voting into voting.
“Voter Violation” “Further Action Needed, Time Sensitive”
Incredible!
Fake `Urgent!’ mail like that really chaps my a**. Like everyone I receive important things through the mail, things with real legal significance or that are time-sensitive.
So you get something like that and at first blush it causes you concern—until you find it’s a limited time offer on a Jacuzzi or a magazine subscription, or a life insurance offer.
Here it’s a condescending, scolding order to vote masquerading as something real. Worst of all, it ain’t smart. Goodbye Ted.
His people admitted they sent it.
Is that just according to Sundance. Or is there a more reputable source that can confirm this. Because it makes no sense at all for Cruz’s campaign to do this.
Does he actually sign off saying For Liberty?
Ironic...given his voter shaming mail campaign

It’s made to look official but its not.
Looks like Cruz either (1) cannot control his own organization or (2) he approves of this behavior.
Either way, this is a gigantic black mark for Cruz.
Cruz gets fleas when he lies down with dogs like Larimer.
A Cruz administration could be infested with hangers-on like Larimer, dragging down whatever good will Cruz might have.
Sorry Cruz, you just lost.
Cruz gets an “A” on political philosophy and an “F” on political instincts and street smarts.
What did I tell you? Crickets.
WHOOOSH Right under the rug.
No, I am very unhappy if Cruz’supporters campaign did this. I just still am having a hard time believing this actually came from his campaign
Cruz’s campaign
Just to mess with the Cruz campaign, the recipients should email Cruz and tell him they certainly will go out and vote - for any other candidate besides Cruz.
The timing on this is a little suspicious. I remember the George W. Bush dwi story on the eve of the election I suggest people develop a “wait and see” attitude until we know more. Then we all can decide if this campaign tactic really negates Cruz’s fight for the many conservative principles he has espoused. Does it sound like a Cruz tactic to you or is it something else?
“I suggest people develop a âwait and seeâ attitude until we know more. “
Why? The Cruz campaign has freely admitted it and the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office has condemned it. Its going to be all over the MSM starting in 3-2-1 til the caucuses start. Ted is going to get the big flush.
DES MOINES - Today I was shown a piece of literature from the Cruz for President campaign that misrepresents the role of my office, and worse, misrepresents Iowa election law. Accusing citizens of Iowa of a “voting violation” based on Iowa Caucus participation, or lack thereof, is false representation of an official act. There is no such thing as an election violation related to frequency of voting. Any insinuation or statement to the contrary is wrong and I believe it is not in keeping in the spirit of the Iowa Caucuses.
Additionally, the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office never “grades” voters. Nor does the Secretary of State maintain records related to Iowa Caucus participation. Caucuses are organized and directed by the state political parties, not the Secretary of State, nor local elections officials. Also, the Iowa Secretary of State does not “distribute” voter records. They are available for purchase for political purposes only, under Iowa Code." Paul D. Pate, Iowa Secretary of State

I’m sorry for you guys. I really am. I can imagine how I would feel. I am really ticked off at Cruz, but not the people who were taken in.
