"In our Faith, if you believe certain basic tenets of Christianity, mainly about the Divinity of Christ, the Holy Trinity, etc., you are considered to be Christian. Maybe not a Good Christian, but a Christian."

There must also be repentance. Belief is more than mere intellectual assent. As James tells us, even the demons believe...and shudder. If there is no repentance then there is no true belief.

Somebody tell the Jeb we are trying to elect a President, not a Pastor or Pope.

Hey, Jeb...would a Christian sit by and let a woman be starved to death?

I was going to post a vanity, but I just don't have it in me right now.

What is up with all the non-sense out here? Cruz/Trump, Trump/Cruz either way we win.

We said we can`t believe we let the left set the debate agenda and some go apoplectic when one of our guys walks away. We say the politics of personal destruction precludes our best and brightest from office and then some slobber over every juicy morsel of trash the MSM puts out.

So I check the sign on dates and their from the class of '98.

Trolls from the class of '98!? I don't get it.

There must also be repentance.

That is part of the Christian Faith to be sure, but it isn't constant in most Christians, as you cannot really sin and repent at the same time. Granted, Trump didn't sound too repentant when asked about it, but Repentance is often a very personal thing, and we are more or less obliged to be charitable in characterizing other people on this matter.

The proper answer would have been “I don’t know. That’s between him and God.” But Jeb never misses an opportunity to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

"as you cannot really sin and repent at the same time."

Not sure what you mean here. Certainly one cannot be sincerely repentant and continue to live in sin. But, even the most repentant will still commit sins. This is why repentance is a continuous process, not a one time act.

Really, Yebbie?

Any thoughts on where Obama comes down?

Christian?

Muslim?

Rotarian?

"Here Jeb, say the one thing that will turn all Christians against you."

"Okay."

"Jeb, my PAC bank account is gettin' mighty low, can you fill it up?"

"Okay."

"Jeb, we've figured out a way for you to shed another 2% support."

"Okay."

March 2, 2016: "Former Fla. Gov. Alldaysucker announced his withdrawal from the 2016 Presidential race."

But, even the most repentant will still commit sins.

So, between the time you sin and the time you repent of the sin, you are still a Christian, even if you are a Christian in bad standing.

The proper answer would have been “I don’t know. That’s between him and God.”

That would have been a good response. How he lives his life will affect how people perceive it, as well. Someone said that about Obama, making a media firestorm because they knew that people would take that a negative in his case. You say the same thing about Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush or even Jimmy Carter, and it comes across as snarky.

I have no idea what "Christian in bad standing" means. One is either justified or not.
