“Historically cutting marginal tax rates increases revenue.”
True.
If Trump is chosen we will have lost the opportunity to do it right THIS time...A ‘Lost nation” is one that no longer identifies itself as a Christian Nation. The fastest growing religion in this country is no-religion, so if this nation does not return to it’s Christian roots, and that under the God of the Bible........nothing else is going to matter as we will indeed be lost.....Because without an objective standard of truth on which to base society, the result is that whoever gains the most political power will dominate.
Noah Webster , one of our Founding Fathers had this to say: ......”The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws...... All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.”
Our Pledge of Allegiance is based on a three-legged stool of God, liberty, and justice.... All three must be there.... If God is not there, ethics and rights are defined by whoever has the most power.
Ted Cruz has lived his life under these principles and precepts.....Trump has no such foundation.....therefore Cruz is the best man for the job of leading this country back to what the founding fathers established it as, and this under the Constitution.
“Ted Cruz has lived his life under these principles and precepts.....Trump has no such foundation.....therefore Cruz is the best man for the job of leading this country back to what the founding fathers established it as, and this under the Constitution.”
You’re overlooking a couple of things.
1. Cruz lacks the strength and courage to leave the leftards dead in the ditch, whether literally or metaphorically, which is what will be required to save the country.
2. Trump has more foundation than you seem to know. While it is true that he has been a man of the world for decades, well, so were many men who later showed greatness.
Well if your mindset is according to what you wrote then I guess Trump is your man.....I prefer a Presidential Leader that has his people ready to act once his feet reach the office...and this in such a way which will not destroy the foundations our founders established for governance of this country....rather than a bull in a china closet who has no understanding of the terrain nor how our Government should work......I’m not interested in a dictatorship.
“I see Trump’s plans as increased taxes and growing government. He says he’s going to build a wall with a big revolving door and make Mexico pay for it.”
The cost of the wall, by government standards, is chump change. It could be reduced by seventy percent through the use of sound business practices. Besides, if America is to survive, the wall must be built, and the revolving door must allow egress only southward.
“Empty words unless you’re sending troops in to collect.”
This isn’t the seventeenth century. No troops required.
Even so, I’d like to see President Trump send troops into Mexico and clean the place up. No 15-year war, like Iraq. Just go in, kill the bad guys without restraint or mercy, then get out.
“He also has stated many times he wants single payer healthcare and when called on it, he says government is going to cover everyone!”
For decades he has been going along to get along because the demonrats were the people he could bribe. Now, for the first time, he is associating with people who are not brain-dead leftards, and now, for the first time, he is actually thinking about many of these issues. He will continue to mature.
I really, really hope I am not wrong about that, because Trump is not only our best hope, he is our only hope.
“He also plans to increase ethanol subsidies with no way to pay for it.”
I think when somebody points out to him that burning our food is stupid, he’ll come around. All he’s heard on the subject is the drunken, drugged ranting of demonrats at banquets and fund-raisers.
“Besides, Congress controls the purse strings.”
I’m amazed that you would bring that up, after the despicable performance of the current Congress.
“I don’t want anyone else to deal with the democrats.”
Nor do I. After a hundred million innocent dead in the twentieth century, no liberal is entitled to the slightest consideration, courtesy, or civility. Liberals should be reviled, abominated, spat upon, even beaten, whenever they have the gall to show their faces in the presence of decent people.
Hey, you know what? It just occurred to me that if he has been bribing demonrats for decades, they have *lots* of stuff to hold over his head.
Crap. We’re boned.
As much as he runs his mouth, I’m sure some DUmocrat has a recording to do just that should he get too close. They’re holding their cards until after he is the nominee.
I mean they are happy with their choices, pushing someone who could be indicted and the other may not make it till the end of the week, let alone end of the campaign. So either they are VERY sure one of their own gets in, or they are happy with Trump at the helm. I tend to believe the latter and he’s “one of them”.
