BTW, that’s why I prefer using the term Judeo-Christian values rather than Christian values.

I have a question. Actually several questions. Since you're a pastor you probably have checked on these thing. What do you know about Trumps beliefs on social issues? I know he makes general statements about being prolife..but has he made any statements about putting in pro-life, pro family judges in the Supreme Court? Do you know if he would sign a bill, if sent to him, to defund planned parenthood? Does he promise not to allow common core? I've haven't heard any promises on social issues as well as other things.

Excellent article Michael!

And you are absolutely correct!

Christians should not be supporting a candidate that is Pro-Abortion like Donald Trump is.

Yes Linda F...I don’t know how to post a link on here. But if you google Donald Trumps 21 Point plan to make America great again..or go to his main websight he has position papers and stuff available there. He is pro life and hates common core!
Be blessed

The difference being that I am ok with saying this or that is or is not conservative?

Conservatism by definition takes a long view of human history and draws wisdom from it. So the fundamental ideals are set. Unlike liberalism which easily follows the latest crazy whim that strikes their fancy without need to test it in the fires of tried and true historical wisdom. They refuse even to debate and merely resort to labeling the opposition as “hate speech” or some other thing so as to disallow their argument.

As opposed to Donald Trump's non-cult religion where he never has to ask for forgiveness, of course.

As opposed to an Orthodox Jew now getting in on the whole "You really should be choosing a pastor for President!"

How ironic that infidels, Orthodox Jews, Mormons, whatever, rant and rave to us about how Christians should be voting. No thanks!

Here are a couple links to get your started. Maybe the pastor will provide more.

I voted for Jimmy Carter because I took my religion seriously. Learned my lesson.

Next time evangelicals disagree with Trump, he’ll probably opine, “how stupid can the evangelicals be?”. That’s exactly what he said about Iowans when the polls went bad for him. Be careful with Trump.

Right. Like Cruz is going to do anything similar to Carter.

I just meant that will not be my deciding factor. I am still undecided.

“Anytime someone tells me what s good Christian they are, I cringe. If you have to tell me you are, I know better.”

Right. Trump just yesterday went to church, where the topic was humility, and then later opined that he “has a lot more humility than people think”. Huh? You can’t boast about being humble.

Ridiculous!
I’m a Roman Catholic. If I followed my religion and that crazy Jesuit Pope Francis, I’d be voting for Hitlery...

Don’t you know Trump does not have to ask God for forgiveness.

God has already forgiven him as well as all of humanity or have you forgotten this very basic principle.

My goodness. Yes, one must ask forgiveness in the form of repentance from one’s sins.

Tuning out the “evangelical” leadership this go round. FWIW, the guy from AR is a former SBC pastor! Why are the evangelicals not voting for one of their own “ordained” leaders?

If you are a Christian and have a clue you know that you have already been forgiven for your sins. Asking for forgiveness is like trying to out do God and be bigger than God by deciding when forgiveness should be given.

There is no point in asking for forgiveness. If you are a total screw up and do not want to change you suffer until you figure it out. Asking for forgiveness won’t make a hill of beans since you have already been forgiveness.

Amazing how ill informed all these wannabe Christians are.

I’ve already been forgiven by God. No need to pester Him with stupid questions!
