Since Donald Trump didn’t tweet this nor retweet it on his twitter, I wonder why you posted it.

That insulting term implies Trump’s supporters are following him like some kind of blind zombies. In fact, the man has stood up against political incorrectness, insists he’s going to finally end illegal immigration (and deport illegal immigrants) and bring jobs back to America. I happen to believe he’s at least going to try, and might well have what it takes to pull these things off. But somehow this is “kool-aid” drinking.
As opposed to Cruz supporters, I suppose - who have shown time and time again her what fair, balanced and reasonable people they are. Sheesh.
Depends on who he shoots.
If he shot Al Shapton on 5th Ave, he’d get a bunch more votes.
The tweet wasn’t Trump. It was someone quoting Trump at a campaign rally. Multiple sources are posted to this thread for the video and news articles discussing it.
Trump’s joke was insulting to his followers. People there laughed because it was funny. As Johnny Carson (I think) noted many yeas ago, the best humor grows from a seed of truth.
I’d like to see that.

This was a brief attempt at humor that was a bad choice of words, I must say.
He actually did say it. Trump supporters are always in denial.

You are thinking like an establishment. You see, he is way ahead in the polls. And people love him. And he loves people. He is a nice guy. He has always been a nice guy. He does not show off, but good genes show off. Don’t be a low energy person. He has no time for low energy. He could shoot people in the face and the same person come back to vote for him. He is a nice guy.
Our local NBC affiliate carried this as if Trump said this seriously. They have some anti-Trump thing on every local newscast. They were reporting glowingly on Hillary last night who was doing a $1,000 a person Fundraiser in San Antonio.
The local “new alternative” radio station here (Jacksonville, FL - geared to young people who apparently love 90’s music plus some new crappy music) runs “ads” which are actually just 1-3 line anti-Trump propaganda. Seriously they are 5-10 second blasts of just sheer bullcrap. It’s alarming that some people are so incredibly shallow and gullible. I would bet that the station personnel are Bernie supporters who have absolutely no idea what he really is in favor of-beyond the utopia stuff.

Not at all. He prefaced the comment by talking about what the media had been saying about the loyalty of his supporters vs the other candidates. So it was just a joke playing hyperbole. It was funny. Anyone making a mountain out of this is seriously wasting their time. Sadly I am too lol
