I think anybody who doesn’t want a strong leader like a potential President Trump is misguided. We have had enough weak leaders and you want another one to the long list? No thank you. Our country is at a cross roads and unless the country picks Trump, we will continue to be doomed.

That’s called Cult of Personality. Trump is the only one who can do it. There are several. It may turn out he has the best path to win the office, but he’s far from the first choice if any person could just be placed in the office. The practical nature of Trump is that he is one of very few who can simply work his way around the media onslaught that awaits any Republican candidate. That’s a huge plus. I don’t think anyone else in the field can do that. Once in office, I suspect many here will be sorely disappointed in what he does and in other cases how he does it. He’s simply not even close to a conservative in principle. He shares views on some issues, but he’s slightly right on some thing and fairly left on others.

No doubt but I would be more disappointed in all the rest of them. Trump is not God. I understand that. The biggest disappointment was Bush picking Bolton to straighten out the UN and Bolton did nothing. So I am past expecting anything concrete to happen. I just know that Trump has a better chance to save America then Cruz by 96 percent.

Agreed, and the question hasn’t been answered. At least you tried to stay substantive. Unfortunately, it’s a loosing battle with some. Hope you understood my comment was not an attack on you, but my reaction to demshategod’s insistence on taking the low road. It was like clockwork. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

That Cruz allowed, or did not stop, the smearing of Chris McDaniel will be forever burned in my brain.

Yet Chris McDaniel supports Ted Cruz. Perhaps there’s more to the story than your Kerryesque “seared brain” allows you to see....
