Just curious now, has any candidate actually come right out and said ethanol subsidies must be ended ? Just canât remember. Back in 2013/14, Cruz submitted legislation to phase out the RFS over a period of 5 years. He had originally proposed an immediate repeal, but then modified his proposal to allow the farmers to adjust to the market changes rather than be economically devastated by the market suddenly collapsing. (Note that this was well before Cruz was running for president.)

>> Because we aren't destroying small engines fast enough.
I dunno, I'm plenty satisfied with how fast it's chewing through mine. They can stop now if they like. :-)
If you like your carburetor, you can keep your lawnmower. More and more Gas stations in this area are working to get Ethanol free blends so Ethanol is not popular with a lot of folks.

He's an ambitious politician with a scorched earth mindset. You are entitled to your own insane opinion, of course.
Very Christian.
Somehow I doubt that you have any idea what that means.

Nope. Romney had experience in government, and foreign policy. Trump has neither. I’d take Romney over Trump, if I had to.

It seems that there is no form of pandering that Trump will not use in his relentless drive to win the Iowa primary. I am surprised that Trump has not yet suggested giving Iowa a third US Senator.
The idea of INCREASING ethanol mandates is obscene. We’ve been suffering from Obamunism for seven long years. Are we we not going to choose Trumpunism to replace it?
To: Nervous Tick
Speaking at an event hosted by the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, Trump, a real estate mogul and the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ought to follow the ethanol volumes Congress set in 2007. So now Trump's in big trouble for suggesting the EPA should back off its position of ignoring the ethanol volumes set by Congress..
So what is it? we go against Congress and support the EPA and big oil and its beneficiaries when it benefits big money???

Hey, you might be on to something here! Trump’s master plan is to increase the ethanol mandate to help Iowa and then subsidize engine manufacturers in Michigan and other Rust Belt states! Genius!

It's called politics, wow, something new under the sun. But I thought the reason people supported Trump is because he is not just another politician! So now you are saying he IS just another politician, willing to do and say anything to get elected.
Hmm, I wonder if that also means he would be willing to say he will deport all of the illegals in order to get elected, but have no intention of actually doing so...

With gas being 1.65 here for regular unleaded right now and it costing twice that much to produce a gallon of Ethanol, when the Rest of America figures out what it will cost them a year in both additional fuel costs and Increase food prices due to the Federal Mandates of Ethanol and subsidized cost of a bushel of corn the Mouth of Manhattan will look like what he is...
Another Political Whore.
