She also compared him to a car salesman - I’m pretty sure I heard that. I forgot about the televangelist, lol. His voice is wheedling.
As eager members of the power elite they feel entitled to the power and sources of wealth by "playing by the new rules".
Rules which simply require them to be the lickspittle of the aged 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological issue who are the Democrats of today.
Abe adds this from "the other side."
You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.
oops; meant to ping you to post 120
You are correct. She did both.
Yes, the cult of personality thing is weird and uncomfortable. We’re supposed to be about conservative principles and ideas and these are the things that should be debated and discussed like sane adults. When I read many of these threads, I feel like I’m at a violent sporting event with a bunch of drunk people. lol
“Oh, ok. I did hear that but didnât think much of it. “
It wasn’t very harsh criticism. The fact that Rush defended Cruz’s mocking of New York Values equated to endorsing Cruz in the caller’s mind.
Yeah. Rush is not fond of NY. He had a hard time when he was here - although this is where he became a star.
First time at the primary wars? It’s been a pretty quiet season so far. It’s only hottened up over the last two days.
I found it odd that Rush wanted to go to NYC in the first place. What was he expecting? The Welcome Wagon? He could have done his broadcast from anywhere.
Well, it was WABC - he broadcasted throughout the United States once he became popular in the tri-state region. He went from being a NYC local to a national broadcaster. Hannity followed in his shoes. All broadcasters long for New York City - it’s in their blood. (My first job was at WOR-AM!)
But I remember the whole thing
Rush's career got off the ground because of one little word.. Chinaman.
The liberals had been trying to get Morton Downey, Jr. fired for months and months. As I recall he told a joke that included the word and that did it. Fired. Limbaugh hired.
Rush took on the local liberals including nearby people's republic of Davis, Calif. home of U.C. Davis. Rush regularly debated liberals on TV.
Liberals hated him. KFBK even titled weekend rebroadcasts of his show.. The Worst of Rush Limbaugh.
I remember listening to Limbaugh his first day and wondering what is this guy? Took a couple of weeks to get it.
Yes, he started in Sacramento. He became a star in NYC.
There’s a Swede, a Norwegian and a Chinaman,
and they all get hired to work on the railroad.
The foreman tells the Swede, “You’re in charge of setting the railroad ties.”
He tells the Norwegian, “You’re in charge of hammering the ties down.”
He tells the Chinaman, “You’re in charge of supplies.”
They all nod in agreement, and the foreman leaves.
A few days later, the foreman shows up and sees the Swede and the Norwegian.
“How is everything going?” he asks.
“We’re almost out of supplies, and we haven’t seen the Chinaman for three days.”
So the men set out to find him, but just then,
he jumps out from around a corner, yelling, “Supplies!”
I had not heard that one. It was funny. Thanks.
That is the one that got Morton Downey fired.
Thanks. I did not recall hearing what he actually said. I do not recall how I managed to hear any of his shows and Rush’s shows later. I was suppose to be working in those days.
