“every little bit of support to Cruz is helpful to the cause of conservatism”
You bet!
As Rep. McClintock said: “This election is too important to leave to chance”
- let’s vote for the candidate with a PROVEN record of standing up for conservative values. We’ve been fooled too many time before (even with a few Tea Party candidates).
I’m proud to say that even though I’m not from CA, I supported McClintock, and NOT the celebrity. Arnold turned out to be a disaster. I was right then and I’m right now.

Another GOPe steps forward. No, McClintock is been on the outside of the elitist as far as I can remember going back to when he represented 1000 Oaks in the 70's.
I lived there when he was elected, unless he's done something I haven't heard about, he's as solid as it gets.

Don't tell humblegunner.. he's got a thing about endorsements. I have curiosity about why folks want to kiss the butts of folks who do nothing more than agree with them.
And Mr. Dog.. you are welcome to address me directly in the future if you have something to say.

I doesn’t matter at this point. Most GOP voters, including those here FR, are all in for the NY Liberal.
We’ll see how much they all love Trump when appoints a couple of Liberals to the SCOTUS.
Hopefully Ted Cruz pulls off a miracle comeback.

How about you Trump supporters first.
Ron, have you taken ANY of your fellow Trump supporters to task for the lies, half-truths, and unsubstantiated innuendos that they are throwing at Cruz?? Any of them?

"Care to prove that accusation? "
He voted for the latest Continuing Resolution.
He voted for TPA.
He voted for Paul Ryan as speaker.

I just had a conversation with Paul Ryan and Iâll tell you what I told him privately. Itâs easy for me. Itâs not my family life on the line. Itâs not my political career on the line. Itâs not my life on the line. But there are times where history doesnât offer us a choice. Sometimes history commands and we must obey - and that is screaming right now at this situation and Paul Ryan. I think heâs the only person who can provide the leadership that is necessary to restore the unity in the conference and the direction of the Congress according to the principles the people entrusted us with when they gave us the majority
I would agree that Tom was incorrect on that one.
Now, try and find anything else.
Trump supports single-payer, touch-back amnesty, is only partially pro-life, and believes that Gay Marriage is settled law now and apparently does not feel the need to keep fighting against that issue, not that he ever really did.
So please, let's stack Trump's policy position record up against Tom McClintock.
Hand's down, Tom makes Trump look like Hillary.

It's the "sheep gene." Most people want to be told what to think, and endorsements are persausive to them. It's one of those irrational "human things" that everybody denies committing.

Maybe you should go back to Kos or DU if you are supporting a guy that donated to Hillary Clintons senate campaigns.

And I would still stack his record of policy positions and actions up against Trump ANYDAY and he totally outshines Trump with respect to being a conservative.

Read my history, I’ve supported Trump and Cruz when I could.
I’m here to support the destruction of the DC cabal, I don’t care who does it whether it be Trump or Cruz.
I get sick of the zealots on both sides who have nothing better to do then deride the other guy rather then have discussions.
You know the type.....

I agree. Mostly because Trump is not and has never been a (C)onservative.
Conservative Orthodoxy, overseas wars when no critical US interest is at stake, FREE trade with mercantilists, Open Borders and Cultural Invasion is now totally discredited.
Conservative is being redefined.

Why would I do that? I support free speech. You free to support Trump and oppose Cruz. I’m free to support Cruz and oppose Trump. It’s very constitutional.
