Gotta think that Constitutional expert Cruz, has the facts on his side with this issue.
Reading the tea leaves, I think Rush favors Trump. He “knows” him. To what degree, I don’t know.
I like Rush for all the good he has done throughout the years. I have never been a “dittohead.” I prefer the other Limbaugh, David.
Rush jumped it at the end of that caller. The caller said that Cruz was naturalized citizen just not a natural born citizen.
Sleazy but smart move by Trump. It might just get him over the hump in Iowa. If Cruz were a little more charismatic, he might have gotten past this, but he is who he is. Trump doesn’t have to get all of Cruz’s supporters. He doesn’t even have to get any of them. He just has to get them to not vote for Cruz.
It’s settled. Cruz’s mother was a citizen. Therefore he is. Deal with it.
If you actually listened to Rush you would know he states the issue is settled, but he does not criticize Trump (I think he should). Rush won’t endorse, but I think he favors Trump mostly because Rush is a hobnobber maybe even more than he is a conservative. That’s how it sounds to me anyway.
Obama is also a supposed Constitutional "expert" ( he isn't !),but if Cruz is SO brilliant, why didn't he know long ago that he had dual citizenship?

Notice that Rush said there is no question of Cruz being a citizen. He didn’t say natural born citizen. I don’t think anyone disputes that Cruz is a citizen. He is. The “natural born” is the sticky point. Everybody has opinion. It’s a confusing issue.
He has said it as “natural born citizen.” You may have heard him say it without that, but it is what he meant. He has said it for days. This is nothing but Trump being a jerk. He is good at it.
The experts nearly all have the same opinion that Cruz qualifies. It’s the non expert political hacks that are confused.

Anyone who went to school in the 60’s or prior is not going to buy that Cruz is a natural born citizen. They might say he is because that’s what they want, to elect him president. We all know Obama was not a natural born citizen, Cruz is not and neither is Rubio.
Cruz needs to get past this without people holding his hand. Limbaugh obviously wants to avoid alienating Trump supporters who provide a good chunk of his ratings.
Rush is right if Ted Cruz were not a natural born citizen he would be out. Meaning he would not even entered the race.
Cruz has to get past this without hand holding. The Democrats certainly won't give him a pass.
