This is a competition. Amazing how folks here get upset when candidate A hits candidate B. It is a primary and Trump will go after Cruz. Cruz will attack Trump. This forum will explode when that happens.

Well, I've been a member since 2006 and just don't post because I usually read my opinion through others. But this Trump/Cruz forum battle is off putting to me, mainly because - as a Southern Baptist - I should be supporting Cruz. Yet I can't. I think he is running for church deacon in order to gloss over being a corporate globalist. A person that believes in the Constitution would never cede treaty power to Obama on the Iran deal (understand the big corporations want to do business with Iran- while we should really be praying for the peace of Israel). Cruz voted for the Corker bill under the ruse (and I quote),"I voted yes on final passage because it may delay, slightly, President Obama's ability to lift the Iran sanctions." - Ted Cruz. I ain't buying it! He knifed Israel in the back. There is no abiding that.

By current law they are eligible. But that doesn’t mean Hillary won’t use it against them.

we all know only 3 words are required...Enforce Existing Law!”

I would not be surprised if existing law mandates the deportation of illegals. Cruz is not ready to go that far
**********************************************************************************
Existing law DOES call for the deportation of illegal aliens. Cruz has said (most recently, that I’ve seen, on his interview by Greta Susterun) that he will enforce existing law and he said that including deporting illegal aliens.

“...There is a reason SUPERPAC’s are not attacking Trump.
They see what he did to Bush. They fear him.

Cruz has plenty of PAC money. It is time he is tested.
And we will see how he handles it....”
*****************************************************************************
Do I sense some subliminal fear coming out of your post? A fear that Cruz very likely has a detailed plan for this campaign and that may, just may, NOT INCLUDE pissing away money when that’s not the best thing to do. Maybe, just maybe, the large war chest he has been building will be used LATER when it is most effective?

Bottom line is that Cruz (and the “SuperPACS” that support him) are amassing money that they will expend when THEY expect it to be most productive and not necessarily when ‘tennmountainman’ wants him to piss it away?

So Cruz only takes the high road for Hillary.

I’ve noticed that. And did you notice that when Trump attacks the Hildabeast he gets stabbed in the back by supporters of Cruz & Rubio. Disgusting.

Another Freeper was whining about Rubio, Santorum and Huckster
SUPERPAC’s teaming up on Cruz.

I simply reminded this poster that Cruz has a large War Chest, as well.

For many months Trump has been taking the arrows.
It is Cruz’s turn to be tested. He has the War Chest to respond in kind,
if he so chooses.

Actually no fear at all. Just observing.

“He has spoken of legalization. More importantly, he has refused to explain what to do with illegals in detail, playing games by saying to wait on this until after the border is secure. Sorry, the end result is all of this speaks of amnesty.”

Cruz will grant amnesty as sure as my yorkie loves me. They get to stay with no fear of deportation. The next logical step is citizenship, - especially to the millions of children they’ll have at our expense - then goodbye to conservatives being voted in ever again.

“Cruz will grant amnesty as sure as my yorkie loves me.”

Bingo!

Follow the money.

Cruz is being financed by pro amnesty, pro pot, gay advocate billionaires:

Can’t be trusted. The same goes for the rube.

Did you get this “knowledge” in a dream state or when you discussed it with a gypsy fortune teller? Seriously CottonBall, you can like Trump (I do) without feeling compelled to hate Cruz or work yourself up into believing all sorts of things that aren’t true. By the same token, Cruz fans can like Cruz without feeling compelled to hate Trump or start making irrational things up about Trump. Both Trump and Cruz fans (a relatively small, but “vocal”, minority of each camp) have been guilty of this behavior...driven by cognitive dissonance IMHO.

I’ve seen folks on this forum who have been long-time Cruz fans but when Trump came along and they “fell in love” with him, they decided they needed to “break up” with Cruz. If the “break up” means they still recognize that Cruz is a constitutional conservative but is no longer their first choice...that’s fine. But if the “break up” means that the long time fan now feels DRIVEN to a near hatred of Cruz...there’s something very strange and very wrong with that.

There are times when I almost (almost, but not quite yet) think I am becoming a Trump supporter. But Cruz is still my first choice (and a PROVEN constitutional conservative) but Trump is also now a very close 2nd choice for me - they both are fighting the good fight for us. I want them BOTH to amass a large number of delegates. I want their combined delegate bloc to dwarf the delegate bloc of the GOPe types. If Trump has the most delegates (and that appears the direction in which we are headed) then I will support him ENTHUSIASTICALLY.

So says the NOOB. Sure, we really trust YOU, Helicondelta, for your great wisdom and insight and constitutional conservative beliefs and your bona fides. Yes, we really trust that you truly want to restore our constitutional conservative Republic.

The law of we make things up so our guy is eligible. There is no current law that I know of that makes Cruz eligible. Rubio gets in as an anchor baby.

You are assuming a lot.

I don’t hate Cruz, never said anything personal about him.

I am very disappointed in him because he had potential and chose to take the easy route. Trump acted like a leader in comparison.

Because Cruz has been silent on immigration, both legal and illegal, for most of his campaign. The others came out with detailed policies - and Cruz said... nothing. He did say, build a wall, but said the American people didn’t want to discuss what to do with all the illegals. Huh? I switched to Trump because I sure the hell did want it discussed!

Now, he has finally come out with a plan, but the details about dealing with the illegals here are vague. He says deportation is an option, along with other things. What other things? Citizenship? I want clarity.

I escaped Mexifornia and do not want my new home in the US invaded. You do not know how good it is to hear English spoken and see American flags! Cruz’s immigration plan is 2nd best, but it is very late coming out and is still extremely vague on what to do with the illegals here. If they stay, that equals amnesty. Their children will be citizens, as will they eventually. Cruz can’t say the word ‘deport’, and for one with incredible eloquence, manages to say very little on it. It has to be on purpose. And there’s only one reason for that. I believe him to be an honest person, so instead of lying he is intentionally vague.
